I always ment to put this up once I had finished it, but forgot until today. This was the portriat that I did in trade/payment for my beautiful one of a kind hand made ship(shown earlier in this thread) This is Tom and Julie...and they loved their portriat. From what Julie recently told me she is having costumes made for them that match their portrait for their Art Shows. They do such wondeful things in clay...and now have an ebay store(sorry I don't have a link yet...soon I would think)

Oh wow Maelin, that's gorgeous! I'd forgotten all about the fact you were doing this portrait for them, or I'd have nagged you about seeing it long ago!

Can we move this into it's own topic in the Exhibit Hall?

I think it's wonderful (and a wonderful compliment to you Lady Maelin) that they are having outfits made to match your portrait! That's such a fantastic idea for them! It is a great portrait and I love the firelizard in the jug!

Thank you all for the lovely compliments...but I have to admit... that the Firelizard in the pot was really Julie's idea....as were the basic ideas for their outfits. So thank you...but I don't want to take any credit for those.
She wanted me to create a drawing that showed them in some way involved with what they love to do. They both were very happy with what I did for them...and my Helva Ship is now all "PAID" for.

Note:
Julie, makes the beautiful original clay pots with Dragons on/in and around them, and Tom makes fantastic Rocketships and they sell them at shows all over the country and now on the internet and ebay. Look for "Kastan Potery" for anyone that is interested.

Lily, Tom and Julie are both so very talented... I think that wearing their costumes while they are selling their "creations"...would give their costomers a true feeling of fantasy....and that is what most of their "creations" are about after all.

*mumbles in Fandarel fashion*

This will not do, will not do. Not an efficient or good way to show this stunning painting at all.

Dear MAelin, this was a painting and way too big for the scanner, right? So you took a photograph but lighting with a painting is difficult and colours do strange things (hear me, telling you what colours do... silly man).

Anyway, I've taken the liberty and used a photoshop trick so people can see even better what a wonderful work of art you made for these kind and nice people! I trust you don't mind

Oh, and again I want to draw people's attention to the fire lizard; Maelin you have a special, uncanny, nice way to portrait them I swear this one has a grin of pure love on its face! Absolutely lovely!

Hans, Thank you soooooo much for fixing my portriat ...I only had the photos that I took of it before sending it off to Tom and Julie...so I didn't have anyway to fix the bad lighting on it. Now it looks great...and much closer to the original.

Apo, Thank you so much for the lovely compliment... In my mind...the Firelizards sit anywhere and everywhere for me...woops that sounds a bit strange, but I did really enjoy doing this one, especially the way his adoring look came out....Tom and Julie really are a very nice couple, who love doing their art work too.
