Default Dragonflight, the album

Apparently there's a Dragonflight CD out there. Don't know much about it except that it appears to be German (Austrian?) and heavy metal.

Found it on an e-bay search for "Dragonflight"

Perhaps it's fed up with 'The Bells, The Bells'!

The blurb says .....

"Eine wirkliche Ausnahmeband sind diese Bewitched wirklich! Sie vereinen gekonnt Heavy mit Doom Metal! Ihren Namen gaben sie sich übrigens von besagtem Lied der Doom Götter Candlemass! Mit Mercyful Fate Cover!! CD und Booklet im 1A-Zustand! Beachtet auch meine anderen Aktionen."

If that makes things clearer.

Okay, thanks P'ter, I know exactly what it says. Yeah, right. I guess I can try to translate.

LOL, Maelin! You'd be surprised at the things I don't have. But P'ter had me wondering what I might have missed also!

I sure hope someone can translate. The German I took in high school has been in detention since I was a Senior.

According to the online translator I googled and used first, it means

"A real special tape these Bewitched are real! They unite capably Heavy with Doom Metal! Their name they presented themselves, by the way, from aforesaid song of the Doom gods Candlemass! With Mercyful Fate cover!! CD and booklet in the 1A state! Also follows my other actions. "

Shalyn, WOW that is a great translation...everytime we go to translate anything...we keep getting the answer that they never heard of the work were asking about. Which on line translator do you use???

That's more or less what it says. I would assume "Candlemass" is another Doom metal band (not my scene so no idea. When it comes to random music I'm more into Eastern European dance/techno/gypsy groove.)

"This great band Bewitched is really special/great (however you want to colloquially translate wirklich.) They capably combine heavy and doom metal. They get their name from the earlier Doom gods Candlemass."

I really would be entertained by someone going into the differences between death, heavy, and doom metal, with a side discussion on where it deviates from Goth and Industrial. No, not really.

You mean there's a difference between bang-screech and screech-boom? My description of heavy metal when I'm being 'nice'.

Actually, yeah, though not as much as some afficianados would have you believe. (But never confuse Death Metal with Goth/Industrial. That can get ugly.)

Well I had better not comment then, as I didn't even know those existed. Rather, that they had separate names.
