Okay, It is now officially official !

The 5th Southern California Summer Gather
will be Sunday, June the 25th
at Mile Square Regional Park
in Fountian Valley, CA
at the Forest Shelter Area

The Trivia Quiz was a lot of fun at the Halloween Harvest Gather. There are so many Summer subjects to choose from.

Let's keep the White Elephant Gift Exchange too!

There are only a handful of us who even remember it, and yet, it's so much fun when we all get in on it.

And I'll still bring the Giant Jenga Blocks for Ceara, Chris, and Crystal. and anyone else who want to get in on it. Provided it isn't too windy.

Ok, I've already started looking for the silly little prizes for the Trivia Quiz. Some of them are very silly...like bamboo back scratchers.

Sharon! There's NOTHING silly at having an itch you can't reach, thus even bamboo back scratchers* are never to be called a silly thing *wags finger*

* Bambu scratchers are Pernese scratchers and bamboo scratchers the Terran version! Bamboom scratchers are only found in the household of tsaff member Hans...
So you just start calling them bambu scratchers and every fan will want one!

Sure thing Hans, I'll order the bambu back scratchers. There's a company I order from that has all sorts of fun novelty items. Sometimes I look through their catalogs and snicker knowing that there are people who will buy some of the really wacky and silly stuff. Inflatable neon colored monkeys are one example.

I really think that one of these years you and the Mrs. need to visit and attend one of our gathers. Heck if you ever came out here, we'd hold a Special Hans Gather!

This is the June Gather...costumes are optional.
We'll worry about the number of people attending as the gather gets closer.

Does anyone know if there is a WiFi locale close by the park? Crystal has gone wireless on her laptop, and it would be a real blast if we could connect with friends over the net while there. ( Especially if someone was to breakdown and get her the logitec camera she was looking at for it. )

What a thriller that could be. Actual digital home movies of the gather.
Or do we want to go there?

The chocolate cake will depend on the weather. If it's as hot as it is today when it's time to make it, then forget it. However, I will substitute brownies.

Then I guess we are going to have to start thinking about having a national gather rather than just state or regional ones. To many of us seem to just get together and then we move.
I just meet another McCaffery fanwho woked at the Ren Faire this year, and just when she finds out about our gathers, she and her family are moving to New Zealand. (Though her mother may yet show up.)

Anyone want to have A National Gather? Say somewhere around August when kids are out of school, somewhere folks might get to camp out, or at least find inexpensive rooms in or near some National Park.

Okay Hans, here's how it stands so far.
We are going up by the park this afternoon to see if we can pick up a life feed in or near the Park. If we can connect I'll send you word. I'll also post it on all the threads we have going, and maybe we can have a live cyberchat at the gather with anyone who want to get in on it. Mind you, there will a limited time frame, as her battery life is only two hours.
