I recently finished Dinosaur Planet and I just started reading Survivors. I've read both before, but so long ago that it feels almost like I'm reading them for the first time.
One thing that astonished me was the way Kai and Varian had completely recovered from the injuries inflicted on them by the heavyworlders during their coldsleep. You'd think that their metabolism would have to be almost non-existent for them to survive for so long without any nourishment or noticeable weight loss, and that a low metabolism would automatically mean slow healing... Your thoughts?

I agree that coldsleep ought to involve slowing down metabolism to near zero, which would then impede the body's ability to heal.
