New MoM playground?

A small theatre has appeared in the alcove. Large cushie seats with cup and bowl holder and no sharing of arm rests. A popcorn machine and candy bar can be found in one corner next to a drink dispenser. Sound is provided with deluxe headsets so everybody can adjust to their preferences.

Currently playing is Ghostbusters; Afterlife. Mostly because it's the last movie we saw in a theatre and it was filmed very close to where I life and I really, really enjoyed the movie.

This sounds lovely.

I'll add a cross stitch and needlepoint sewing room. No tv or movies allowed, only quiet music, preferably instrumental. Comfy reclining chairs with tables to hold sewing items and good lamps to provide proper light. Big windows along one wall and right outside a number of bird feeders, constantly filled. A good variety of birds visit - blue jays, grackles, cardinals, sparrows, snowbirds to name just a few. In summer there will be hummingbird feeders to welcome those tiny jewelled whizzing wonders!

Do you really want the bubble pop room in the library? How about we put Priscilla in charge of the games room? I'll add a large room for bubbles. There is a wall filled with assorted items for making bubbles. *grabs a large pole with a cloth loop* Moves to a large pan on the floor and soaks the loop with solution and waves it. A huge bubble appears and floats for a minute before a kitten swats it.

I'll be happy with that. I did not mean to have the bubble wrap room in the library! It sounds like we need a whole new wing to the playground - soundproofed to keep the lovely quiet of the library and other rooms intact.

Let's see. We have a bubble wrap room and an actual soap bubbles room! Any other ideas?

Time for a movie switch. Because I absolutely love them for the ridiculousness that they bring ... it's bad shark movie time. Ladies and gentlemen, I present for your viewing pleasure such classics as Two-headed Shark, Ghost Shark and of course what would shark time be without Sharknado!!! So grab your popcorn and a drink and settle in. *Ahem* for the duration of this event, yelling comments and throwing popcorn at the screen is encouraged. The roomba has been feeling a bit neglected and cleaning up popcorn will help with it's self esteem issues.

Kibby LOVES bad shark movies.

Worst one I've ever watched was House Shark. Even Kibby won't watch it a second time. I was hoping the shark would eat everyone.
There is one, Zombie Sharks, that I watch 5 min of and left the room. Kibby gave up after 30 min. Natzie Zombies control zombie sharks to attack flying airplanes. It got worse from there

Have you seen Avalanche Sharks? lol. An ancient curse was activated and there were sharks in the snow taking out everybody, not even safe in a hot tub. Laughed my head off.

I think "The QUIET Man" would be a better choice. The only John Wayne movie I know of where he never fires a gun. (Never heard of "The QUITE Man".

As for Lord of the Dance, I prefer the original Riverdance. Michael Flatley is just plain too full of himself.

Quite like my Texxt to speach softwear, its icon is a shark helper is called Sharkey , Job Access With Sppeach , is what it stands for.

In keeping with the holidays ...There will be an Easter Egg hunt throughout the library. There will of course be the traditional chocolate eggs, but also peanut butter filled ones. Cream filled, caramel, some choc with krispy chunks, dried fruit as well.I've been told there must be peeps and chocolate bunnies. For something a bit different, there will be larger eggs with puzzles in them and not candy. Have fun.

We've had May Day, "May the Fourth Be With You" and Cinco de Mayo. Mother's day is tomorrow so here is a nice buffet brunch for everyone to enjoy, not just the moms.

Filling the room with some of the wonderful smelling lilacs from our bushes. My favorite flower!

I love lilacs but they give my sister, mom and all my aunts on that side blazing headaches. When I was a kid I was allowed 1 small sprig in the house. So I had to shift to sweet peas, those still had a lovely aroma and no headaches.

Let's see ... some smoked salmon, a deviled egg, marinated veggies, crackers, cheese and some fruit. Ohhh and a shrimp cocktail that was hiding in the back.

I am so sorry, Mausey. Do you have bushes where you live now or will they not grow there? Ours are just starting to get brown patches on the flowers. I wish they would bloom all summer but about 2 weeks of perfection is all I get. Our daughter has a tiny bush started in her yard. Lilacs are also her favorite. For Christmas last year I did a cross stitch picture "kit" of purple and white lilacs in a vase. Jeff framed it and it is hanging beside their front door.

Dibs on all the shrimp cocktail I can stuff in my face!

I absolutely love Star Trek, Ginny. Back in the mid 1970's I went to several Star Trek conventions in New York City and got to enjoy listening to panels with all the stars as well as Gene Roddenberry and Isaac Asimov. I have a photo of James Doohan that he signed for me. Fun fact. He and Nichelle Nichols both had wonderful singing voices and it did not take much audience persuasion to get them to sing a tune or two. Spock was my absolute favorite. A dear friend who is an artist made me a pencil sketch of him in his usual aloof pose. I have it on the wall here in the room where I sew and have my Christmas lit fireplace.

In one episode of Star Trek, the crew was trying to figure out how to defeat an enemy, one of the crew said, "let's confuse him!" That seemed soo stupid! In an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation, Deanna Troi told her friends, "There are thoughts in his (Captain Picard) head that are his own and yet not his own." If Deanna was an empath she wouldn't be able to sense thoughts! If she's playing poker with a few friends, and she can sense thoughts, she'd be able to win at poker every time!

Since it is supposed to be sweltering hot through most of the country this weekend I am adding central air conditioning. Powered by solar panels to be good stewards of the environment!

Well I know from a different fan of it of a podcast that runs different ST shows, I don't have the link yet, and They don;'t play DS 9 Deep Space Nine. When I get it, I shall have some one type it up so I can share it, I have first three season s of the orginal STAudo discription and all the movies , via two VVIP fans. one know s the podcast for ST non ASD non audo discribed , The image sounds cool, .

Good idea to add wind turbines to supplement the solar.

I recently got a cup holder to go on the arm of the recliner I sit in all day when I am sewing. It has a middle section that is about 3 inches tall and shaped like a cup/mug with an opening for the cup handle. Then there are two pieces of heavy "rubber" that go over either side of the chair arm to hold it in place. A mug or glass fits nicely in it and no more "resting" a mug on the "arm" of the chair with the chance of it sliding off and crashing!

What if it rains every day? The solar panels wouldn't work! What powers the wind turbines if there's no wind?
