Haloween Harvest Gather 2010 - A Meeting of Minds

The theme suggested is "THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT"
The dates suggested are Sunday October 24th and Halloween Day itself October 31st. (Michele is going to bedown here with us for Halloween, so Crystal and I are hanging on in favor of that one. As is Sharon.)

I just found the cutest little candles for the tables, Pumpkin and apple pies, Appropriately scented of course! And they look just yummy! ( I may just keep a couple of them for myself.)

Only three days left. Crystal is going to Santa Maria to get Michele as soon as she is done at the dentist this afternoon. So looking forward to everyone getting togerther.

Got there at Yorba Linda Regional Park Around 8:30 am to set up and found out that they don't make reservations on holidays. So I jumped on site 6 with it two double grills an four tables and the cooks table. Crystal and Michele arrived around 10:00 am to help and Sharon came shortly after. Chris and Laura came as I was heading home on Daddy clean-up and the obligatory ER Run. (This time for a Can-opener, BBQ tongs and fork, Smaller bodice for Sharon to try, and salad dressing.) Chris and Crystal just shoed up since Dean's bunch arrived around 12:30 and I'm still not done here. But I'm heading back shortly. Off to a good start.

the menu included Chicken, hotdogs, sausage, salmon, backed beens, deviled eggs, salad, snack mix, and cookies. There were hardly any left over.

There was Eating, dancing, Giant Jenga, and lots to talk about! I'd say that everyone had a good time! and some of the pictures show it. We were such a weird and wildly wonderful group. I can't wait till next year!

2011 marks ten, count 'em, TEN years of Gather's! I'd say we were doing pretty good.
