Hope that everyone with health problems is feeling better and that things work out for you.

I am still trying to figure out what was happening at work over the weekend. We had the police in and out of the store all weekend looking for people none of them associates. At least three were seen being lead from the store in cuffs and nobody knows why and it didn't make the newspaper. Crazy days and we aren't even into summer yet.

Then on Monday someone thought it would be funny to set a display of charcoal on fire at the local Kroger Grocery store. From what I have heard on the news it will be closed for two weeks cleaning, restocking , and fixing the wall that was damaged. I personally don't look forward to the two weeks since Monday after it happened Walmart had lines into our clothing departments since we are the only other store in the area that you can do major Grocery shopping at.

I was unable to get in yesterday and earlier today. Site was giving me trouble!

Not on much, I've been a little depressed.

Went to con last weekend. New lication for this con. No one liked it. 3 buildings all spread out. Not good for a con. They did have under ground tunnels, that was cool. Couldn't find my book I took to get signed, by Terry Brooks.

Space cowboy? Try to download instacart! A friend of mine has it! They deliver a few hours after you finish your order and checkout! You have to register with them before you can order, though, I think! Instacart will let you know when the shopper is finished shopping for you and when they're on the way! Just look into Instacart! Well, today has given me a real bummer. A number of years ago I found a really great writing group. The SF/Fantasy slice I knew well split off into their own forum. Well, after being less than expected for some time, they closed the site. I feel so disconnected, even though the only people that still hung out there I have on my social media. But there were some really good writers there. If anyone is after some recommendations, Mindy McGinnis and Sophie Perinot are really good. Oh, and R.S. Mellette as well.

At 1:30 pm local time, the supplies I'd been waiting for, came! Until they came, I'd had to use a smaller system. Now I have pleeeentty! I still had a bunch of the larger bags, but was out of the flanges. Sunday evening, while I was waiting to be seen in the emergency department, I bought 1 bag of potato chips from a vending machine! I had not eaten much dinner before going to the hospital! While I was there, I had a turkey sandwich. My nurse was a no-show tuesday. I don't know when she'll get here!

This is for the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. We buy stuff for the hospital that Health Services don't consider essential, items like a blanket warmer, new tv's for all the rooms, furniture for the palliative care room, items for the long term care. Last year we bought them a couple raised containers so people in wheelchairs or unable to get to ground level could grow some flowers or veggies. As we're a small hospital in a small town, we're really low on the list to get things. One year we even had to buy a couple IV poles so patients could walk out in the halls and not be tethered to their bed.

SpaceCowboy, not knowing what was going on would be maddening. To have that much activity and no clue ... here the tongues would be wagging faster than the tail of a puppy with a new squeaky toy. And what they didn't know most would happily make up.

I sympathize Bristol, I was on a site for years and it suddenly died. The gent looking after it is just too busy to do it anymore. It's sad as it was the only place I saw a couple people.

I'm not looking forward to the next few days if the Kroger stays closed because I work at the Walmart that will get a lot of the business.

I think I mentioned that our "smallish" Wal-Mart in Guilford, CT is closing. The closest will be Branford and I am seeing a lot of people in that town upset that traffic on Route 1 (which is not a very big road, one lane each way) is going to be horrible. The excuse for the closing is "underperformance" yet the place was always busy. It did not have a grocery store as there is a Big Y located in the same plaza. Now there will be no place of this sort in town.

That's really bad! Nurse came this morning. She put a new ostomy system on, then an aquacel AG thingy on.

Mausey, I think you are right about people making things up if they don't know what is going on. There used to be an area of Facebook that had lots of topics, "trending topics" I think it was called. I am so glad they deleted that, it had become a festering cesspool of conspiracy theories.

High school choir concert last night was good. I don't sing but I like to listen.

After 7 years not going we are headed to Disneyworld for a week this fall. Need to get absentee ballots as our trip runs into voting day. Lots to think about and fun plans. Hoorah!

Good for you, Priscilla! Is that the one in Florida? A few decades ago, I went there with a girl I knew and her dad and step mom. I remember in front of Epcot Center (a big round globe) there was a costumed character called Figment! Full name "Figment of your imagination".

Disneyworld is in Florida. Disneyland is in California. We are going to Florida. I did go to the park in California when I was about 9 years old but not since. It is a long way from Connecticut!

I think absentee ballot voting works pretty much like "early voting" as you hand in the absentee ballot early, before voting day. As long as we get it done absentee will be just fine. I'm not sure if my state has early voting but with absentee at least for us it is not needed.

I love Figment! So many great Disney characters waiting to be enjoyed by us!

In 1975, when my family went to Disneyworld, a ride called "space mountain" first opened. The big bad wolf was messing with a child, I went up to him and pushed him! My dad took a picture of me pushing him. He looked down at me when I pushed him! My favorite character was Goofy as a child. When I went to Disneyworld with the girl & her parents, I told Goofy! I always got Chip 'n Dale mixed up!

I'm tired of having my CT drain bag! It is soo inconvenient! I keep having to make sure the tube does not snag on anything.

Going to be stumbling around, with my keystrokes , a bit, I got a new Keyboard and its a run down old memory lain, for me. For its feels like my old keyboards I used in tech Colloge , so I might find the keys a lot better, I had my staff put on the dots that I found useful, but some of them are in a differnt location, or have a different feeling to them, but I am finding so far this post typing much better, I am also having JAWS answering me in kediscription mode just a bit better, so I hope to be able to get around better.

As for Facebook, I agree with you, I haven't been back,, I still have problems getting around with keyboarcommands yet, so I haven't tried yet. I hope this keyboard, which is feeling a tad easier on my fingerers , well making my interaction much better.

Also I am going to be missing my own mom 1999 and she was taken too soon from me., cancer of the brain. Allso I have the start of a miner one now, so I don't know how long I am staying on line. sound gets bad sometimes with these, even with the medications.

Sorry to hear that, ginny! You prolly can't tolerate sounds or lights with a migraine, right? I once knew a girl who had migraines. When one started, she asked a nurse for her migraine medicine. The stupid nurse refused to let her have the medicine! My friend asked me to read from her bible.

Keep it up Ginny - your typing is coming out well, not nearly so many double letters and scrambled words. Hoping that will make reading much easier too.

I lost my own Mum late last year - she was 96 and I'll be thinking of her.

My mom died in 2014. She was 81. I didn't know about it until a year later when I decided to do a search in the obits. About the time she died, I called to where she'd been living and they told me, "She doesn't live here anymore", implying that she moved. The relationship was so-so. I think she's buried next to my dad. My dad was a Korean war veteran. My dad died back in 2008. I didn't know about his death until half a month after he died. My mom came to where I was at the time. I asked her "how's dad?" She told me, " He's dead. " Me, "When's the funeral?" Her, " It's already been. " Me, " What???! " I was definitely taken aback! Later I read in the family placed death notice, "the family will receive visitors..." He was my dad!! I did NOT receive any visitors! :_(

The tube for my CT drain is causing me pain!! The part that goes into me! :grimaces in pain: I WISH my doctor would tell me when my CT scan is scheduled for! Wanna get rid of this thing! He should have told me before I left the hospital!

Kibby was not looking forward to working today. Not only is it Mother's Day, it is graduation weekend for college/ universities here. Every place with a bed to rent if booked solid in Lynchburg & surrounding areas. Ever eating place is slammed packed.

Today, went to the cemetery site where my parents are buried and found out my dad had been in the navy during the Korean war! I think my mom is buried next to him. Even though I can't actually go to where they're buried, I saw their headstones. They share a plot.

I haven't been to a cemetery in about 40 years. The people I knew are not there so I don't see the point. I know that going gives some people comfort and I respect that.

Our kids brought me a miniature rose bush, a hydrangea plant that will get dug into the flower bed, a chocolate covered caramel apple, a fruit pie and a wood plaque with a painting of a very fluffy black and white cat that is captioned "embrace the fur!"
