I'm in my chair, My youngest got word that he passed his paramedic exam on the first try and 2 1/2 years of school is done. Between classes, practicum, working every shift he could squeeze in there was very little family time.

My mother-in-law is currently in hospital being evaluated for a possible heart valve replacement. We may not hear the result for a couple days though.

I loathe the time change. For years "they" kept saying it was too difficult for airlines and sports teams, WELL, we've just had 2 years with minimal flights and sporting events so what's the excuse now.

Mother-in-law is doing okay but as hospitals here are still on covid protocols she can only have 2 designated visitors. Our youngest and his wife (a registered nurse) both tried to get in to see her but no go. She's hoping they can get the tests run Monday or Tuesday, it all depends on if they can get the fluid in her legs down. They were so swollen her lower legs were about twice their normal size.

I am currently playing a couple nice, mostly instrumental Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CD's. I have been doing this the last couple years. I play whatever I want to hear and it can be Christmas or Halloween if I want it! I took a short string of the tiny colored lights off the tree and "trimmed" around the fireplace here in the living room where I spend most of my day sewing. They are lit all day, look pretty and make me happy.

In the old US series Emergency it only took 6 months to become a paramedic. It was the 70s and they couldn't most of what they do today. They had to get Dr. permission to do anything.

We have a couple of longer strands of outdoor "Christmas" lights... That's what they were originally, anyway... that have been permanently hung on the rafters of our porch for several years now. They're clear LED, and the covers are shaped like small unopened pinecones. Today I'm headed to the pharmacy to get a CD made of the photos on my phone and a couple photos that I want a copy of. Then the thrift store, one of my favorite places. I have a few things to drop off and there is always the possibility of finding a treasure!

We did hear back from the company on that faucet that was sent to us by mistake. (Our address, someone else's name). First email came from the shipping company that then gave us the email of the building company that actually ordered the item. Got a UPS label from them and the box was sent back yesterday. Here is a question. IF we never heard from either company what were we supposed to do with it? Would it have been "stealing" to keep it?

If you had never heard back from either company, it seems to me that you had done your due diligence and were not liable under the law for it, so you could have done whatever you wanted with it, keep and use it, sell it, or throw it out. But just my opinion as someone who has worked with and around the law over the last 60 or so of my 75 years. But laws vary from state to state, country to country, and so on, of course.

Well, it is indeed a heart valve replacement and set for the 23rd of March.

Spring is definitely here and we can almost watch the snow melt. From a couple feet deep to mud in one day. *shakes head* always amazes me. There are already weeds and poppies coming up on the east side of our house. Not a huge amount but it's a start. Some of the pansies will push right through the snow.

My dad is 90 this year, he and mom (86) still live on their own although mom does have a lady come in twice a month to clean.

Kibby signed up to DM at a small con, paid for everything, before job problems happened. So I am at a 3 day con for the first time in 2 years. Drooling over all the dragons in the dealer room, with no moto buy.

My sister did not get the job she wanted. She did get a job at Walmart.
Kibby has been referred to a spine specialist, for her shoulder pain. Ortho Dr. refused to give her anything useful for pain. Gave her another anti inflammation med. She has been on anti inflammation meds for years they do no good. He asked her questions & didn't wait for her answers. He got a very bad review on the survey they sent. She did get a work note for 4 hour shifts. Olive Garden has agree to let her work 2 days week for now.

Sorry to be gonatiming in real-life has tossed me a few string balls', with me and myas the person sspinning the balls, and my computer and printer and one of its ports not working, whilenot in the shop, getting the softweare to be able to read print, to me its called OpenBook, its made by the sames folks that make my Jaws program, I am going t have to learning to use a new mp3 and more a GPS that I can tell me when I amwalking or having someone driving, better able to get to some podcase, once I get that I have something related to other than nne MCqaffrey, which might help me with some of the problems , I have not listen yet to that information yet,, but when I get that information I shall try and post that information in the Beyoind sp Anne McCaffrey link.

I also hope to be able to get hold of the rest of Aububle sp books, sorry my inter net just got back, and I am still fizzed out and I hope to have mystaff to help me clean o8ut my PM box so I can get back to folks, I am still learning how to run Jaws and the new and old softweare , I haven't used OpenBook in a long time, early 92-95 were the years I hhad it, thanks to a donation and at my tech school so we could use it, I shall be reporting more on it. . I am getting very tired , listening to a AD audio described movie, that a friend gave me as a gift. Quite good more later.

When I am feeling less shagged, I might have a few ideas, via PBS, shows or information, on staying in your home, and stuff like that, PS I wwas thinking of veveryone in Virginia and New England area, also down that costline wbhich wwas on a show about downsizing and had a lot of hhistory with it. more on that later, when I am not so shageed. :blushsh:

Mother-in-law had her heart valve replacement bright and early this morning and is feeling pretty good. She'll be shipped back to her regular hospital later today and if all goes well will be home Friday.

My dad still needs his replaced, and one more stent, but I think the problem withwater retention is slowing that, his old water pills were not working, that really worried me,, but he is doing better, still learning how to use my smart phone, got the blue tooth turn on, the other day and I need to get use to it, thanks to a few folks who understand this problem with hearing aids and smart phones, why it didn;t work,. I also ggot my brailled playing cards, somaybe we can play some cribbage later, I need to relearn some of it, but I can read the dots mmuch easier on the newer decks of card,s for they are on plastic backed card stock so they do read a tad better, might take me time to find my reading area but that gives me something to try for , I can't read or long my feeling in my fingers are not that good as they were, they get cold fast, like when I type to long. that is partly why I make so many mistakes f for I can't tell what I am typing after a bit.

My mother-in-law has those fancy hi-tech hearing aids and really likes them. She doesn't need the tv so loud the windows shake and can hear her phone. It's so much nicer visiting now, as long as she remembers to put them in.

It was decided to keep mil in for a few more days to build her strength back up. She's feeling pretty good so all is well.

Going to be having my yearly medical start this week, and its starting to make me jumpty been held off a tad to long with changing mysupport staff, so I am a bit more worried and its going to make my communication a tad harder for you folks to understand , its theccalm before the storm, I don't think anything is wrong, but I could be wrong, still need themanagram done, and my primary pdr. can help me with that and I hope their referral staff ccan find me athe replacement for the other one. When I am under more stress, I don't stop to try and spell-check my work like I am doing right now to those new to MO so I am very sory maybe later I can come back and ffix or folks can re ask me later once I am in a calmmer mood. I also havent's had time to clean or del out muy PM box yet, its on my list of todo and I hope to get it to soon, but I need someone to help me re-find the downloadede file and help me run the mouse bubuttens so I can tell them what I need to do, not a task when I am under outside real life stress, which is something that I can only say its should have answers in a few weeks for so. Sooner if there is a problem. crossing my fingers in my mind while I am twhhile I am typing this post.

Otherwise so far just waiting on a few othre things that are beyond my control. @ Space CowBoy sorry for running off here, but I have to work my writing in during the calm times, and bbefore I lose the train of my idea, my mingrain is making it harder to keep my answers together for long. I am sorry my control of JAWS won't make it easy to find the phone number for JAWS like most screen readers have to me glomp the numbers so fast that I can't tell with out sighted aid, I shall have to come back when more rested and have sighted aid to removed that, and add on to a different post more on and ex hyperlinks and more and as a ambador information on the aids that I do know, paying it foward, as a advice and ambassador for those like us, in a volunteer wway. It turns out it was not for her. She can't take the standing. She has feet problems, she didn't realize how bad they were. GOOD NEWS, for a change, she did get the job at the hospital. She'll be make $19.89 an hour. That more 4 dollars more than she was making

Spine Dr is sending Kibby for an MRI. He also gave her pain meds. Unlike the orthopedic Dr. he listened to her. When he ask a question he didn't talk over her, when tried to answer. Much better Dr than last one.

That is good news about your sister's job at the hospital. I can see being on your feet for long hours is not for everyone. I'm glad Kibby is getting some relief and has a doctor who listens to her.

Our daughter's boyfriend's cousin is going to be on one of those weight loss reality tv shows. He is well over 500 pounds, 30 years old and apparently has been regularly consuming over 7,000 calories a day for years! Anyway, things seem to be going well. They have dieticians working with him and I believe he has lost 60 pounds in a month. At the end of all this he will have gastric bypass surgery and hopefully support from the show to truly change his life. He is a good kid, we're all happy for him. The show he is on most likely won't air for at least a year from now.
