Default Testing, oh yeah! Testing, Oh yeah!

I just got my stripe on my green two months ago and I'm testing at the end of August!!! For those of you who don't know I'm a Martial Artist. It is VERY hard to go up in rank at my Dojo(school)! My Sensei's green belts are other people's purple and brown. That is why we always end up with so many golds at competitions. Any hoo, I took a few months off to give birth to my second daughter Whom you can see in my avatar. So I was not able to participate with training and testing. Though I did practise my Kata while pregnant. Kinda of funny to see a 8 month pregnant woman do kata . My husband went up in rank while I stayed behind. Which was hard for me to tolerate. Don't worry I wasn't mad at my husband just a little frustrated with my condition. Although I had been wanting another baby for a while I wouldn't know what to do without my two girls!!! The picture on my avatar does not do them justice. They are beautiful!!! I have to have Cheryl put a more recent pic of them on my avatar. But anyway, I'm testing, yeah! I'm testing! I'm soooo excited! This means a lot to me!! I know I'm going to kick butt!!! By the way if you want to check out our dojo we have a virtual tour with pictures and everything!!! site is www.superiorma.com The pictures are a bit old but I'm in several of them. The first picture in the Adult class tour is me disarming my husband Anyway check it out!! See if you can spot me and hubby in any other pics

Actually Hans I was thinking about going into that line of business. I have always been the masseuse of my family. My father always comes to me if he has a kink in his neck or back.
You probably did congratulate me recently because I was tested just recently for a stripe but I have miss a lot of class since I was pregnant a year ago hence my 6 month old daughter is the result But Sensei knew that my level of competence as a karateka is much higher than my rank therefore my Sensei sees fit to test me again. I will be a Purple Rok Kyu.

Don't be sorry! I'm getting my new rank as purple belt. I'm only one belt away from my black belt. Cheryl, we need a karate smillie to, pretty please. *bats eyelashes* Yeah, I'm going to get the girls into it when they are old enough. Lilyan my three year old is already doing Kata. By next year she may be read to join us on the floor!

Actually it is something we want to do as a career. My husband and I want to open our own Dojo after we get our black belts.

Well done Geisha! if your girls start young, they'll be black belts in no time, and in years to come when you need extra staff...

I don't know about that Gyle. Crispy is too defenseless. I'd rather verbally abuse him and watch his face turn red.

Shani, That is how we plan on doing it. My eldest daughter (3) is already learning Kata. My Sensei and her family do it that way. Her husband and her son are both black belts and specialize in different areas of Martial Arts.

Congrats, geisha! i think its cool you're starting your kids early on something you and your hubby love. i wish my mom did that. my sivs all stated when i did, so they had the advantage of four years, since i'm the oldest. then i ended up gettting frustrated being older than other people, and quit.

When you're doing something you love.........it might make it easier. Which in turn, makes you better at it and more worth while. Sometimes it is hard for others even though they really love doing it. Which in it's turn makes it more worth it in the success. I guess it goes both ways as long as you have fun with what you are doing,

Still, it's hard to rhyme Crispy. All I get is the following:

The once was a fellow named Crispy,
whose goatee's decidedly whispy

can anyone complete this?
