Nope. My grandparents used to occasionally have tongue. I tried that and did not like it.

Is this actually meat from the tail of an ox?! I can't imagine there can be much meat on one of those!

It's the culinary name for tail of cattle. Calf liver is good too!

You're welcome to my share of all of that. My mother used to make liver occasionally as well and that was also something I did not like.

A year ago today, I woke up from my coma. In that year, I've come a long way! What about chicken liver? My paternal grandmother liked anisette toast! I tried it once. Nasty tasting stuff! Yuck!!!

My aunt and uncle in Iowa always got chicken livers when we went out to a restaurant. I never tried them but I think they'd be on my no thank you list.

Anisette is licorice maybe? I like a small amount of black licorice, no red! Never had it as toast. Google says it tastes a lot like licorice but there is none in it.

Anisette is a liqueur derived from anise seeds. On a different note, I'm still being used as a maid/slave for bossy girl! Can't wait to go in the hospital for my reversal surgery! It'll be a vacation for me!! The cook told me yesterday that it looks like I'm gaining weight! Been trying to eat more!

Ox tail soup is very good, tongue I'm not a big fan of and any organ meat is blech!!!!.

My darling hubby has reached a certain stage of life ... he has started to mansplain EVERYTHING!! I left a door (it was the inside wooden door, there was still a metal door with a window closed) open and get 5 minutes on how bad that was. Comment my fountain is running slow as I go out to fix it and get another lecture. Drives me mad.

Mausey, Jeff does that explaining stuff occasionally and always has, but only if it is car or engineering related (particularly aircraft). I sympathize. He does know things and I appreciate that he knows them, especially when that knowledge is helpful to the kids. However, attempting to cram that knowledge into me, the non-science member of this team is nor only useless but can be slightly annoying.

The kids are returning from Florida today. I am sure they had lots of fun and will have plenty of stories to tell. Can't wait for our turn! Since we might not go again I said to Jeff if I see something small, easy to pack and not TOO expensive I am getting it! Not sure what that might be.

Gonna try to get my original appt back. Since bossy girl and I are going to be gone about the same time, who'll be here to clock in and out??? Bossy girl told mom she doesn't have me doing anything. That's a bald face lie!! A few weeks ago, bossy girl unplugged the camera in the dining room!

Tried tongue once, that was 1 time too many.
The same for elk. Never tried ox tail. Bison is good, but over priced
