Happy New Year all, very quiet here, except for the ***** who decided to let off firecrackers at 4am. No civic fireworks show, but there may be one for the Chinese New Year, which is usually the best one of the year anyway - Possibly because the City Council isn't paying for it!

Happy New Year all! Southeastern Illinois here and we're having weird weather. It was 72 Farenheit here on Christmas Day. Starting raining New Year's Eve afternoon and rained solidly for a day and a half, flash flood warnings out. Now the bottom has dropped out of the temperatures, the wind has now swung around from the north and we're supposed to have below zero wind chills by the end of the week. Just goes to prove the old adage " If you don't like the weather here, wait a minute."
