i just noticed that The Tower and The Hive series has Lyon's Pride, which is also exactly the name of a elite squad in the game fallout 3. Has anyone heard of any inspirations or anything?

No. Lots of people could think of playing on the phrase lion's pride without being inspired by each other...

Including the caterers/bakers J. Lyons who not only used 'Lyon's Pride' as a sales slogan also used 'Lyons Maid'
