Hans has found the country. It is in India, making the rest of the locations incorrect.

Technically it could be both India and Indus Valley, as parts of the IV stray from Pakistan into India. However it is not.

Alright, three people have correctly guessed the answer via PM, with Hans being the first.

This is the Chand Baori stepwell in the village of Abhaneri near Jaipur in India. Stepwells are most common in west India, as this one is, and provide a water source in dry areas, as well as a cool place to be on hot days. This well is over 100 feet deep, with 13 stories and 3500 steps!
