EuroCon - which day to wear our shirts? - A Meeting of Minds

So, since we'll all have matching tshirts.... do we try to all wear them on the same day? Which day?

Friday, the first day of events.

Saturday, which has the evening banquet when we'll present Anne with the Pern book. (Or do we dress nicer than a tshirt for this -- I have a lovely new dressup outfit to wear one day at the con...).

Sunday, the final day when we might not see Anne as she's off the schedule.

Any day we individually like?

On Friday she only has a couple of events to attend...although supposedly she is coming to the Friday Night Free Party that last until 11pm. [Hans stated that he didn't think she would stay very late at this party].

On Saturday she is there from 12 noon...to at least 8pm when the banquet is due to be over. There is also the Masquerade and Awards presentation that follows the banquet. So if she is also recieving another award along with our MoM presentation...she is going to need to be there for a very, very long day for her.
I don't believe she will dress up much... as she never has for any of the cons that I have attended or seen pictures of.

So all in all I would say LETS WEAR OUR MoM SHIRTS ON SATURDAY...as that is the day we are all going to attending any and all of the events she is scheduled for and that evening we will also be presenting her with the 40th Anniversary book. So it would make an excellent show of her fans...and MoM...on what should be her best day at Eurocon.

On Sunday she is not scheduled for any events..at least not at this time.

P.S. Cheryl, why don't you wear your lovely new dress on Friday...at the party. There will probably be quite a few others that night that will also be dressed up in costumes that night !!!

I can wear my new outfit Fri, but it's not a costume, just a fancy-shmancy skirt and top.

I think Saturday's the best day. It'll enable Anne to know who she's got to be nice to.

Does any of us were planning to enter the masquerade? At least I suppose they mean dressing up. Then Saturday woud be awward for wearng the shirts.

I've no reference but then, I can always wear it under a(nother) shirt or easily change...

We could go for an award at the Masquerade if we were all planning to get up as an act and perform...according to their rules.

Anybody got a real good singing

voice??? The rest of us could HUM along

Other wise we will just be this lovely group

of look alikes all grining adoringly at Anne. I would think that we will definitely get her attention

... and let her know she has friends there just for her....and cheering

her on if she wins an award!!!

P.S. Does anyone know if she is being given an award after the Banquet???

I'm not too bothered by this, but I am only going to be at the Convention on the Saturday (Since I couldn't afford different flight times, they were almost £120 more than what I have at the moment!

) so if we were to wear our shirts on Sturday, I'll happily participate. -Chuckles-
