It doesn't diminish the high quality of your work, Maelin. It all looks stunning.

Hans, I am sorry I didn't understand what you wanted to do with these. It will be alright, nothing will happen to them they are safe with me. To be able to share them is really a nice feeling. I will send you more to see the other way that I did, that first time. But you will be happy to know that I am working on more of the charactors, so you will see more of those soon, I have to finish them first.

I am tempted to send electronic copies off to Derrick Hussey, at Hippocampus Press, and get him to commission you to do the cover of my book of poetry. Of course, I would send an electronic copy of the poems first, Lady M, in case he agreed (and in case I did).

Let me say this: you certainly don't splash any old paint around, and call it a witches' sabbat! (Now for the smarties among you to determine that allusion!)

Not at all, dear Myt. That post makes sense if you think about it; the allusion refers to a story that talks about art and painting, and what makes an effective piece.

But can anyone guess which story, and by whom?

I am not being confusing, far from it. I paraphrased a certain famous section of a story, as an allusion, and wondered if any here could tell me the name of the story. I'll be kind, and let you know that H. P. Lovecraft wrote it. It was meant as a compliment to Lady M, of course.

AnnMarie, The pen and ink one's are naturally in black and white as you know, and the colored ones are made by making a copy of the original pen and ink ones, and then color them with colored pencils, it sound easy and fun but it is a lot of work to do it in the tiney areas, and not have it look like a blob of color.I love doing this kind of work.

Kater, thank you so very much. I feel so much in love with the Menolly books that I had no problem with bringing a few of the scenes to the paper. I only wish that I had done more of them back then.

Monkeysrule,
I did the black and white one in pen and ink(ball point pen), copy it when it is all done, and then color the copy with all of the detail of the first. I have to copy it so that the colored pencils will take over the lines. The colored pencils won't go over the oil of the ball point pen. This is how I am doing the color copy of the Birthday card, two different copies, one black and white, the other color. Thank you for the intrest.

I hope that you keep at it and do a lot more. You need to talk to me about that art site of yours. I hope that the title is a little misleading, Deviant Art ???
