Good and bad news - A Meeting of Minds

Good: I'm home for the holidays
bad: no broadband... yet... its arrived in the area!

Good: I've got a summer job-a catering assistant
bad: Its 5 miles away

Good: its in a castle!
Bad: Its got a loooong drive to walk up

Good: theres a bus to the town nearby
Bad: it only stops when it feels like it- ie not this morning, and runs at the wrong times- I end up at work 1hr 1/2 early!

Good: I saw peacock + babies (sweet)
bad: I've sprained my ankle!

oh the joys of summer!

If you hadn't already sprained the ankle, I'd suggest getting a bike or a motorscooter.

i half expect the bad comment about the bus to be: "but it doesn't run up the drive to the castle"

this IS a rural bus- it doesn't stop at the bottom of the road! or at anything approachng the right time! or on Sundays!

Pretty littel castle Edith! Hang on in there, I'm sure that you'll sigh in the coming time at uni and think back favourably on the time spend catering at the castle
