Question Can you follow this

I am trying to explain how someone is making bellows for a blacksmith. Does it make since? Would I be better off just saying he made bellows?

He found some branches he could us as the frame. He used strips of leather to hold the frame together and spread leather over the two frames. Next he tie the leather to the frame and the leather he was using as the sides. He used more wood to make handles, which he tied at the end of the two frames. Next he cut some heavy canvas for the sides of his bellows and tied them in place. When he was through he had two flat leather pieces, connected by canvas sides, with a handle that would open and close. The last thing he added was a small cone, made out of leather and tied to the main pieces. When the handles were opened and close air would be forced though the cone. The air would make the fire hotter where and when he needed it to be
