well, i think i've read all of just anne pern books, and one co-written with todd, is it worth reading todd's pern books because i've heard a fair bit of negative about them...?

If you enjoy PERN then yes they are worth reading just for the entertainment of going back to PERN.

I don't pay much attention to structure, but more of events as I always get lost in PERN and read it as I am there living it.

Sure it's worth it just because they're Pern. They may not be my favorites but I don't hate them either.

Yes, definitely worth reading so you can at least make your own mind up about what you think of them from personal knowledge rather than hearsay

I like his books. If you can find them at the library then you can read them before you decide on rather to buy them or not.

It doesn't take long either. One reason I have trouble starting new PERN books cause I know once I start I will end up spending late night hours cause I don't want to leave.

I agree with Anneli and Hans as well. To each their own and you won’t know until you read his books.

I have personally enjoyed Todd’s books, and though they don’t quite hold the magic of Pern as Anne’s books do, they are still Pern. It’s always fun to get lost in Pern!
