I'm back and have just seen this thread. Why didn't I look further when I was away

Is there anyway you think I might get the book before 20th?

Make that definitely not, KC. I just went looking for clarification of manufacturing times on their site, and it seems the 10-15 days isn't calendars but business days, and that hardcovers are expected to take the full 15 business days to make, which is three weeks.

I will just barely get my order in time, and I ordered on the last weekend in August!

Lulu just send notice that my order has shipped, which means it'll be here in plenty of time, probably in just 2-3 days!

This means manufacture took just 10-11 business days, which is a useful data point for others to figure when their books might be done and arrive.

KC - if Hans also gets his order on time before the con, then I will have an extra copy I could bring along and sell to you at the con, and another for someone else if there will be others in need. FYI - With shipping, the copies I bought were $20 each.

Indefinitely, Sandi! The book isn't a limited time thing, unlike the future MoM tshirts will be.

If anyone in the US has an issue with ordering through Lulu (eg not having a credit card or paypal account to make the order with), I can probably work soemthing out with you along the lines of you send me a check/cash and I place the order to be mailed direct to you. Ask me about it in October or later (as right now I'm getting geared up for EuroCon), if you're interested.

The first two copies of our book arrived today and I've am SO happy to hold them in my greedy hands!

Cheryl said I should post a picture and here it is:

The binding quality and the quality of the cover is absolutely fabulous. To my professionals eye the inner, printed pages could have been better of quality and the pictures, too, but... overalll I am very, very happy with the way it turned out. I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I had the finished product in my hands, despite having published books before this was the first POD one and that even without having seen a galley or proof!

But that 10-11 days is not always the case. I ordered mine on Aug. 29 and still have not received notice that it was shipped. It still says "fulfilling". That is 15 days.

I've still got that on mine, though I ordered mine on the 30th.

Cheryl is crrect; for all I know my order is still on "fullfilling" now and it sure was yesterday evening when the books were safely in my hands and that considering mine had to be shipped overseas (overoceans!)

And the 15 days max is, as Cheryl discovered 15 working days! So a max of three weeks, 21 days!

Beautiful binding job. They even included headbands on the top and bottom of the spine.

Mine arrived today!! It's wonderful!

There is one thing though... on mine and Spiff's page, my name is listed as Rachel Weatherby (with my old last name instead of my new last name). I checked, and the submission I put in it had my new last name on it.

I know mine can't be fixed, but I felt that I needed to mention it.

Other than that, it's awesome!
