Yes, it's that time of the year again, folks! October 29th is the Sunday before Haloween and the standing date of our gather, unless something comes up in the meantime. So,sound off if there is any reason that we should change it before I book the site at Mile Square Reagional Park.

I would be at Ren Faire that day but would like to see what a Gather is like. Besides, Ren is 2 weekends in a row. I live down in Rancho Bernardo, near Escondido and San Marcos, so I'd be able to drive up...

We are keeping the Apple Bobbing and the Swing Thing in Your's and Shirley's Honor.

Besides, you're still our best connection to the Ruathan Tree Climber and the Elfling.

Pics will be forth coming as soon as we get them. And if Crystal can manage to get the Wi-Fi thing licked we'll inform all interested parties. (Don't count on it too much,

unless we all agree to go to the local Barns and Noble before we break up for the evening.

Alright people, since we have less that 27 days left till the gather, I figure that it's about time that we started the list of who's coming and what they are bringing. Those with ????? behind them are still unconfirmed hopefulls. Adjustments will be made as things get further along.

Drinks and deserts are still up for grabs, as are chips and dips. Apples for the apple-bobbing.
Pumpkins for painting, and white elephant gift exchange items ($10 or less) should be left up to those individuals who wish to participate. However if you bring spares of either along that's cool too.

7up is generally a safe bet, and something like HiC or maybe one of the Hawaiian Punch drinks for the kids, otherwise cola or rootbeer, even fruitjuice is fine.

Root Beer is a given with me, But I do have a small potentially overcomable problem...

My car is dead. 8miles maximum per day. Heating or some such + blown head gasket...I'm not big on Mekanik things, so I wasn't paying attention.

Story short, I have no Transportation, unless I can get the money and a New car... Oh, for a dragon.

As for rules, there aren't any really. It was basically a way of making sure the kids didn't feel left out in the prize department. And as they are somewhat complicated, I thought I'd let the grown-ups do most of the grunt work and let the kids hacve the fun of being the test pilots. Of course having more than one, the adults could fly them too. (Got to test fly them a few times to get the bugs out don't we!)

. . . I have made up 15 seven page puzzle and coloring pages that should appeal to young and old alike. The Fruit (Waldorf) Salad is made and ready to go. There are at least three new cloth banners to hang on the easy-up. And It seams like everthing so far is going without a hitch, but that can all change between now and the gather. Of course, it is now 8:13 am PDT, Friday, October 27th. Aside from the fact that this leaves me another 48 hours for other people and nature to mess with me, it basically means . . . . .

LAST MINUTE REMINDERS, FOLKS.

Daylight Savings Time ends tonight, so don't forget to turn back the clocks one hour at midnight.

You will need $5 to get into the park. I suggest singles of fivers, because it makes it simplier all around on everybody.

Crystal has managed to elude the "forgotten supplies run" by leaving a little later. but once she get's there, unless it's only a quick jont to the corner store, "YAS OUTA LUCK!"

Unfortunately, we had people leaving early and others coming later than normal: ontop of which, we did not have our usual photographer, Rod, who knows how to work the time dely on everyone's cameras. So we didn't get any of the big group shots this time around. But there was a lot of photo taking by Michele and Crystal as well as Sharon so we still have a good supply of pics in store for you both, Keruval and Koolness. There will undoubtably be several site to check out but I try to get as many as I can into my Yahoo albums for you all to check see. It may take me a day or two to get them all sorted out and online, so be patient!

It was basically a way of making sure the kids didn't feel left out in the prize department. And as they are somewhat complicated, I thought I'd let the grown-ups do most of the grunt work and let the kids hacve the fun of being the test pilots. Of course having more than one, the adults could fly them too. (Got to test fly them a few times to get the bugs out don't we!)

The Fruit (Waldorf) Salad is made and ready to go. There are at least three new cloth banners to hang on the easy-up. And It seams like everthing so far is going without a hitch, but that can all change between now and the gather. Of course, it is now 8:13 am PDT, Friday, October 27th. Aside from the fact that this leaves me another 48 hours for other people and nature to mess with me, it basically means . . . . . TWO DAYS LEFT TILL THE GATHER !

You will need $5 to get into the park. I suggest singles of fivers, because it makes it simplier all around on everybody. Crystal has managed to elude the "forgotten supplies run" by leaving a little later. but once she get's there, unless it's only a quick jont to the corner store, "YAS OUTA LUCK!" Unfortunately, we had people leaving early and others coming later than normal: ontop of which, we did not have our usual photographer, Rod, who knows how to work the time dely on everyone's cameras. So we didn't get any of the big group shots this time around. But there was a lot of photo taking by Michele and Crystal as well as Sharon so we still have a good supply of pics in store for you both, Keruval and Koolness. There will undoubtably be several site to check out but I try to get as many as I can into my Yahoo albums for you all to check see. It may take me a day or two to get them all sorted out and online, so be patient!
