Brown An update.

Well, re-signed with Shin-Ra, aka Wal-mart, putting my dreams on hold for survival. But, that is the way life goes, isn't it? We all sacrifice our dreams to exist, and only Hollywood would have us keep the hope of acheiving our dreams.

Even if we do acheive them, they aren't truly what we signed up for, not when we get there, nor even when we're near.

So, I have a new dream: Survive, and if possible, survive well. Friends, loved ones, these are the things that make us survive well. Material possessions cloud our minds, make us cling to that which doesn't matter.

And, in closing, for I've already written alot on another site I'm on, I will be attending teh Gather, should that still be allowed. I will still go to Faire, and I will still enjoy what I enjoy. Be that as it may, I will also be getting rid of most of my possessions, selling my bed, my table and chairs, almost all of my dvds, all my cds (once downloaded onto an ipod I found), and prolly my nonportable gaming systems. I will buy a good laptop, and keep only enough possesions so that, should I need to move, I could do so on a whim.

Glad to hear you're not out on the streets J'han! While dreams have to be adjusted for the realities of life sometimes, don't let them go entirely -- that leads to a very unhappy life!

J'han, We all have to do the necessary things to survive...but it's how much you enjoy life, that says how well you have survived...

That which does not kill us makes us stronger. Taking a winding road through life is more interesting than a straight and boring interstate anyway. Things don't always go the way we think we want them to but sometimes the detours turn out to be the most interesting aspects of our journies. Enjoy your life.

Having taken a very winding way through life (so far, though I feel it might be straight downhill from here on {"the Primrose path to the everlasting bonfire" Macbeth}) I back what Sandi said.

Somebody one told me (disapprovingly) that I treated life as a cafeteria with something different every day.

That's a good description of my life too! Reminds me of a movie...."Life is like a box of chocolates......."

I don't know what I would do without good friends. Like those right here. The world is a harsh place where change is the only constant. Good luck! You always have friends!

(((((((((J'han))))))))))))))) and as Hans and Sandi said don't give up on your dreams. Life is a windy road, I know from personal experience and our dreams may change but they do happen. Friends though keep us strong and make life enjoyable no matter what. I look forward to meeting you at the gather.
