Default Mike Shepherd: the Kris Longknife books

If you like Sassinak, Elizabeth Moon's Serrano/Suiza books, and David Weber's Honor Harrington books you'll probably like Mike Shepherd's Kris Longknife books. I'm calling them "light military SF," because there's little to no technical stuff and while it's in a military setting and there are military actions it's more part of the setting than the story. I just finished the latest and I really, really enjoyed all of them.

He's got sample chapters on his webpage, Kris Longknife: Mutineer is the first.

This is one of my favourite series currently My bookseller knows to let me know when they are coming in.
(And I'm currently reading the ARC of the latest Honor Harrington book, Mission of Honor.)
