Default Devcca's Song

Devcca's Song

Devcca's song
has a country air,
neither long
nor less than rare;
but beautiful
like Arctic skies
over lands
of snow and ice.

Bears abound,
as wolves that flow
alike a courser
over the snow,
ptarmigans
alike abound,
wind alone
the only sound.

Night, auroras
rise and hum
across the sky's
tightened drum;
light and colour
enhance the scene,
wild eyes watch
as from a dream.

Devcca's song
has a country air,
neither long
nor less than rare;
but beautiful
like Arctic skies
over lands
of snow and ice.

They are mainly wooded areas, or someplace where there isn't alot of human/cat/dog activity.

Spruce Hens (Grouse) on the other hand, are nearly as bad as domestistic chickens!! They don't fly off, until you are nearly on top of them, which scares nearly EVERYONE, but if you spotted them first, you can get a good picture. I haven't seen any of the males.

When I posted this up, there were just the first three stanzas, but reading it here made me realise it needed the enveloping caused by the repetitiion of the first stanza, for closure. I hope it works that way, then.
