But I wouldn't have her any other way!

And Hans... I'm far more worried about sitting on my little Chihuahua... she is 3 times smaller then my cat....

Noone sits on a cat. No cat, unless comatose, would allow that to happen. You'd get within an inch, and find razor sharp claws fastened into your butt.

Sorry, AnneMarie, but I've seen it happen and it wasn't a dainty lady (I mean the sittee, not the sitton)

I must admit the cat was flattened as the lady of course got a heart attack of the sound the cat made...
(cat didn't suffer any injuries)

The local cat has taken to greeting me and Stuart when we go to the bike sheds in the evening. Unfortunately, he doesn't like bikes. Fortunately he has faster reactions than me as I dropped my bag tonight when he was investigating my shins as I was looking for my keys! He's a lovely cat, although I've seen him hunting and I know he's not really cute and vulnerable, it's all an act, so I was more than a little bit guilty!

Affronted cat was affronted!

Not with our cats, actually. They're rather more civilised! They'd get up and move - under protest.

Heh - yeah, Zorro, I know, wretched cat. But you STILL can't sit on my shoulder while I'm typing! and yes, Hans, that's about the size of it. And P'ter, I have no control whatsoever over Zorro's posts. Sigh.
Back to work - catch you all later!

Meow! (translation: It strikes me that the fundamental dichotomy of existence is beautifully summed up in Hamlet's "to be or not to be" monologue, but that Shakespeare missed out a few important aspects of the argument. If he re-cast it as "To be fed or not to be fed, there is no question..." he'd have saved himself a lot of trouble and all those dead bodies littered around the stage at the end.) Zorro, too lazy to post hiimself so he's dictating...

And SJS, please note P'ter's use of the semicolon is a fine example of how NOT to use it!

If this is a cat dilemma wouldn't it be "To go out or not to go out", while standing in an open doorway letting all the heat out from the house?

"... whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the wind and rain of outrageous weather, or take myself to the trays of litter and by opposing upend them..."

Humans who sit on cats can get a butt full of claws if they're not careful! Or a flat cat. I have black cats so I have red seating.

I've just found a site devoted to The Evil Clawbutt ..

Quote:
The Evil ClawButt is a very mysterious creature. He only comes out at night sometimes and usually hangs around areas where there are things like trampolines and tires... He doesnt do much but run around and make noises. Luckily, we were able to get some video footage of him....behold....
Yes they have videos

So do we, I've done that one or twice, lol at myself, they also like to lay behind my desk chair and I don't hear him, or under my computer desk, he more like a dog than a cat in that way, he one that don't like to pick up, but is one who like meeting new folks, today we had someone new over and he came out in the hallway, I call him and he came back, I told the lady I was meeting head on in he'll follow, I was right he could pick up a dog on her, and he was being a good kitty both of them, they both came over and said hi, in there own way.

I hope to get some extra help for myself, that why the meeting, Ginny

Yeah, P'ter - my house needs tidied and hoovered and dusted, and redecorated, and I don't have a cook! Sigh. I also cannot afford to pay anything! So probably going to have to cope on my own. Hope you find a better offer!

AnnMarie,

If you'd seen our weather this weekend you might reconsider! Grey, raining/snowing/sleeting, cold, miserable... at least, it didn't encourage me to get up and do any of those chores! Thanks for the offer though. and I have to admit, on those few occasions when the sun actually breaks through, it's a lovely place to live.

We had a day like that a few days ago, for folks driving in that.

Actually, AnnMarie, you'd find Scotland quite tame! Though as I said - today the sun is bright in a clear blue sky, just a few fluffy clouds for contrast, it's 28 degrees C in our sunroom and all is right with the world! Except that I have to get more writing done and I shouldn't be online. Never mind, just a brief interlude!
