Default Talent Series Portrait #1

Here is the first in a continuing series, I thought it fitting to begin with the man that indeed started it all.

*nods to self* I like it, he's got a good distinguished look, but friendly too.

And I was going to comment on the logo to before I saw Lin's reply.

Well done!

Though I expected him older for some reason (but Talent is not my firte) I do like the portrait very much and agree with Lady Maelin on the logo, that's a seriously thought out and beautifully made logo!

And yes, it's very fitting to start with him!

Wonderful! I hope you'll have an online gallery for them. Or maybe Cheryl could have one here, along with Maelin's drawings.

With the talent, knowhow and craftmanship Max displays I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had a site and gallery for his art

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement.

I wish I could truly take credit for my work, but it seems to me that Anne's writing and descriptions have been so well defined its as if I know them all intimately.

I'm glad you all like the logo, I was wondering if anyone would recognize it. The pegusus logo has been used in some incarnation since the inception of FT&T all those years ago.

As for a site or gallery, the only places that I have hosted my work are on my myspace page and a wonderful graphics community site called Renderosity.

I'm proud to say that these renders are exclusive first time posts here at MoM.

I will have more in the upcoming weeks, so keep your eyes open for our dear talented friends.

Respectfully yours,

MMV

That's excellent! I also like the pegasus logo And for some reason I can't stop staring at his nose...::wonders if she can get away with tweaking it::

By chance, would you mind if I posted a link to this in http://community.livejournal.com/amctalentfic/ ? I made the com for fic, but there's so little of either fic or art anything new is awesome.

Thank you! And I see no reason you couldn't link to these although you may wish to ask our gracious hosts as well as its their bandwidth being used not mine

As far as The Prophet Darrow's nose is concerned, I'm sure Molly had those bouts of sheer impudence that caused her to spontaneously tweak it with abandon.

Telepathically yours,

Bandwidth to visit this page is no issue, and the photo itself is hosted at photobucket so that's not my bandwidth anyhow!

HI Max

Excellent work!
If you ever decide you need a web presence I would recommend the place I just got mine - pageBuzz.com
It's under $10 a month and they have a very easy point and click way of creating your site look. It still takes some time - they have thousands of choices - but they also have phone help 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. est. And their really nice..

Can't wait to see more of your work.

Alright, now I know how cliche it is to be a perfectionist when judging ones own art, however I simply couldn't leave this alone.

I respect Henry too much as well as Anne's portrayal of him to sully his name with such a poor representation.......so, using some new techniques that I've been experimenting with, it was my task to produce a more suitable and living portrait. This is the result:

I hope you all enjoy it.

PS- Eventually I will just replace the first post with the new art, but I wanted to give you a chance to see the differences.

The new version is excellent!! (For some strange reason his neck really hits me....it is so realistic that I can almost see his adams apple moving!!)

And like others have already said...that logo in the corner is dead-on perect!!
