Default Maelstrom

Just got a news alert from Random House. A new PTB Twins book is out today( 26th). the titile is Maelstrom. I didn't read the whole mail, but the description is that the twins go to rescue the Honus and find sacred sharks that must come along also. The strange otters that saved their father will have a secret revealed. I'll have to go back to read the excerpt that was provided.
Also, do you think it appropriate to cut and paste the excerpt for on here?

Maelstorm: A whirlpool or great turbulance.

The book does live up to its name, However it is not the end. This book is definatley a lead into another book.

Anne and Elizabeth bring us again into a world of Totems, interdependant relations between the planet and life therein. We also get a peek of the ackwardness of puberty.
For those of us that like the PTB series it is a wonderful addition and I look forward to more. For those that don't...what can I say...There be no dragons here.

No "old" ones...yet. Clodagh is mentioned but doesn't have any dialog. Like I said, it's like a chapter was left out or something. weird.

Nothing is missing from the book, it's going to be continued in the next book. I really don't like books that end like this. They're doing it with the Acorna series too. I'm glad that I know there will be another book coming I just hate it when the book isn't finished. They did the same sort of thing with the second Pirates of the Carribean movie, you gotta see the next one to get to the end. This sort of book isn't my favorite type of book. That's where Anne did so great with the Pern sereies. Each book is a complete story but can be picked up a little later on and another complete story done and finished.
Maelstrom read very quickly and it's got an interesting story. (just wish it could have been a completed story)

Soon Becky...
With an ending like that, Anne and Elizabeth are writing it now. Huge cliffhanger. As far as ole chacters... Yanaba and sean of course, Marmie is in trouble, Bunny has kids and well if Whit is not in the next book I would be suprized.

Just not soon enough for me. I just like to have the book be complete with a beginning middle and an END (stress the ending there!) Leaving everyone in the air just isn't what I like.

I thought that a certain part happened all to quickly. can't say much without spoiling, but there was a lot going

then a space for elapsed time,

then it concluded with the current problem. that whole time space jump shouldn't have been there in my eyes. it should have been written out what happened in the interregnum. (look at that word of the day is expanding my vocab. lol) feel free to pm if still not sure where i meant. lol

and yes i also cannot wait. oooh to be virtuous and thus be blessed with patience. o well.
