It has been 2 years since I read Wicked and I finally got around to reading more of Maguire's books Confessions of An Ugly Stepsister and Lost to be exact. I also have Mirror,Mirror but have not gotten into it just yet.
I really got involved in Confessions and the twist at the end did surprise me. Lost made me think a story about Wendy from his viewpoint could be quite good...

Anyone else enjoy his books?

I have Confessions of an Ugly Step-Sister sitting on a pile of books waiting to be read.

I read Wicked awhile ago, and admittedly, I read the book because I really liked the songs in the musical and I wanted to understand the source material. Needless to say, the book is much darker than the musical.

I also have Son of a Witch in my piles of stuff to read to, but I know that my sisters have read it. I have yet to purchase the other book that in that particular universe, but I know people who have read it.

I was given Wicked as a gift and was really excited about it and wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it. Its been a few years, though, so I might try it again or go with Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.
