I only recently heard about this, it's another short story involving Helva. I haven't been able to track it down so far, but has anybody here read it? What's it about?

There's an anthology coming out in May 2009 which will contain Anne's story "The Ship Who Returned"

The anthology is titled Federations and is edited by John Joseph Adams. More info including full table of contents here: http://www.johnjosephadams.com/?p=1738

I think that I've read it. It was in an anthology- but I can't remember which. I think it was a Mammoth anthology that I borrowed from the library five or six years back (which is why I don't have any more details)

I couldn't remember the name of the volume but a quick search brought it up on Wikipedia!

The book is an anthology called Far Horizons: All New Tales from the Greatest Worlds of Science Fiction.

Well, that's the one I have... I could have just gone down the hall and looked on the bookshelf but that would have involved getting up...

Almaron....you should give it a read, with all the other parts of *Helva*.

I love this story...it puts a lovely ending to the original *Ship Who Sang* story...but if you cry when reading Anne's stories, have a box of tissues handy, as this one is a wonderfully good cry.

I just wish that one of Anne's publishers would put all of the *Helva* stories in one book...together finally. Every time I want to read them all, I have to go and get out the other books that have the shorts in them.

I have to admit I'm just overwhelminly happy that after all these years she added to the original story and gave us such a wonderful finish to it.

I don't think either of the libraries in my area have it. I guess I'll have to track it down on Ebay at some point.
