Default Mini-Whoop!

I just thought that I'd do a little mini-whoop post here!!

A couple of years ago I stupidly leant my copy of Dragonflight to one of my cousins. I should have known better, but thought that she'd grown up and would be responsible

I have finally bought another copy from ...... a well-known internet selling site that may have the same name as a large South American river system for all of ...... 27p. Oh yes. Count them .... 27 of your English pence.

Anyway, it lies waiting for me at home and I shall reacquaint myself with it tonight!! Yay me!!

I just wanted to have a whoop and this is the only place anyone would have a clue about what I was yammering on about!!!

Yeah, if you just want a reading copy Amazon is wonderful for cheap copies! I've gotten several paperbacks for one cent - so basically just the shipping price of $3.50, which is pretty darn good!

But you can Mawfone! At www.amazon.com - but you (probably) do need a creditcard to pay for them but if you have that, the world of books lies at your feet!

ROFL Thank you everyone! I never thought so many people would respond in such a short space of time!!

But I got home on Friday and unwrapped and there it was! Yes, it's just a reading copy. Maybe I'm odd but I think books should be enjoyed and if treated with respect should be able to be enjoyed time and time again and not just look pretty on a shelf!!

I have seen books on there for 1p, but so far haven't got any of those. The condition of the one just received is good. I bought it knowing it had been used (but not abused) and it's totally acceptable and the cover is one that matches my others and the one I used to have didn't - so double whoop! LOL

(And thank you for the move, Hans! I wasn't sure which one I should post in and glad that you're on the ball!! LOL )

I just looked at Amazon.com, and there are currently six copies of Dragonflight being offered for $0.01 plus shipping, including one that is listed as "like new"! The next highest price is $0.50, then $0.99, then it slowly begins working through $1.00...

Yes, but being in England I use amazon.co.uk! I should imagine shipping to England would bring it to more than my payment.

But, yes, 1c or 1p books are out there!!

LOL Thanks Maelin! Yeah, I did feel a bit smug about it afterwards LOL

I have just ordered another load of stuff (not Pern or AMC though) and got a book for my partner for 1p, as well as some other bits and bobs. Including postage, the whole thing didn't come to more than £20! (That's less than US$40 or AUS$50.)
