Default New Book Purchases!!

I went to Portland, OR over last weekend and stopped at Powell's Books. This is the ultimate in a used book store! They also call it Powell's City of Books. It's a small city block in size and in one area it's 4 stories tall! They also sell books on the internet, but not eBay, just thru their website. Anyway, I've been there a couple times before, but it's amazing each time I go.
I found a copy of the UK paperback 1st Corgi - Cheryl did a thread on this about the artist..... http://forums.srellim.org/showthread...i+dragonflight. There's a link to a picture of the cover too.

I also just learned yesterday that I am now the owner of a Walker and Co Ship Who Sang!!!!! Now to wait while it arrives. I know it's not in the best of condition but I really can't afford the $1200 or more that dealers want. I'll post pictures of it when it arrives. I'll get a picture of my Dragonflight at that time too.

I'm doing the 'happy book dance' about now!!!

Got the Ship Who Sang last nite! It's not as bad a copy as I thought it would be. I'll get pictures up later, just had to let you know I got it already. horsey: Happy book dance!!
There is a signed book plate that was pasted onto the dedication page (odd page to place it to me) but it is covering the dedication! Tho they did only glue the left hand edge and leave the rest unglued so you can lift it and read the dedication. I'll take pics.

Ok, so I'm going to post a picture of the bookplate over the dedication and save the rest for later. I've also got pictures of the paperback 1st Dragonflight I found at Powells, and also the dual signed Acorna's Search. Yes, I've had a lot of fun recently shopping for books!

The Ship Who Sang -

The above picture shows the spine is cocked. The spine is also faded, Anne's name should be red and it's pretty much faded to pink. But I'm very happy with the book, overall. I certainly couldn't afford a pristine copy these days!

Acorna's Search and Corgi PB Dragonflight -

More info to come in a few days.
