As everyone that took MQ knows by now, the last six questions were just for fun and not scored as part of the contest. I thought I'd share the popular results of those questions while we're awaiting the final certified results.

145. Do you wish this contest had 150 real questions as advertised?
29 of you had had your brain ooze out your ears and thus didn't notice.
6 danced for joy that the challenge wasn't longer
5 felt deprived of the last few questions
3 were off balance by the sudden end of serious questions

146. What’s the most valuable prize in the prize pool?
30 correctly guessed it to be the copy of Dragonholder signed by Anne
10 were apparently surprised to learn there were prizes
2 thought it was perhaps the Black crystal (maybe if it was real Ballybran!)
1 thought it was the art cards by Frank Kelly Freas (which really have an undetermined value, but I don't think it's in any way astronomical)

147. I learned about McCaffrey Quest through…
21 people found out through the announcement on Anne McCaffrey’s website
16 of you found out here on A Meeting of Minds message board
5 found out on another message board, fan group, mailing list, or web surfing
1 found out by word of mouth from her sister
And none of the people I kindly met at WorldCon in LA gave it a try

148. Next year’s MQ should be…
25 of you were smart enough to say why mess with perfection, keep it the same
9 brave sadistic souls asked for it to be longer
3 poor souls requested a shorter contest
6 claimed they wouldn't return for more brain pounding

149. Who’s the prettiest staff member at A Meeting of Minds?
22 of you thought it was definitely Hans, especially when he wears a Gather dress
13 were surprised to learn MQ wasn't assembled by robots
4 thought it wise to offend the least amount of us and voted a tie for Pam, Anneli, and Becky
Only 3 were wise enough to pick Cheryl, who does most of the scoring of entries
1 coward refused to answer the question

150. Now that you’re finally well and truly done, what would you like to do?
17 of you plan to scrape your brain off the floor and attempt to pour it back in your head (how's that going for you anyhow? and are the other 11 of you who admitted to having their brain ooze out their ear planning to just leave it on the floor?)
12 plan to cheerfully re-shelve your books and submit their entry
7 nervous individuals plan to bite their nails and pace the floor until the winners are contacted (sorry you may have another day of that!)
6 are thinking up appropriate fates for the members of the MoM staff (we've passed your names on to local authorities as a precaution

)
1 said all of the above. This of course was the correct answer, though it was tricky as it was a write-in vote.
