Some might remember my mentioning I had opened a Facebook page called "Made in the Shade Jewelry & Things". Well, after leaving it lay idle for 'way too long, I've started to move forward with some "things" besides just my chain maille and wire wrap jewelry.
The first new thing I'm offering is prints of some of my photography. Since I bought a new Canon photo printer late last year, I've been very satisfied with the quality of the BIG prints I've done on it, so I'm offering prints up to 16X20 inches of some of my various scenery shots. I've printed all but one of these, so I know I can get very nice quality prints. These downsized, very low resolution copies are the samples are what I put up on Facebook. Of course I did that so anybody who tries to steal them for themselves will be disappointed with what they get. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I like all of them but I am especially drawn to the second and fourth pictures. These are lovely!

Thanks. The first one is one that we had done in quarters at Walmart, and is hanging on our wall.
The second and fourth ones, that you like so well, are also a couple of my wife's favorites. We have the second one in 16X20 that I printed on the Canon iP8700. The fourth one is special to me because I took it on my back 40. It took more than just a little effort to get in to the area with camera, tripod, and flash, and I had to go through even more to get the series of shots that this single one finally came from. We had it done into one of those quartered prints like the first one. Those are each, four 8X10 sections, and both look great, so I'm sure either would come out just as nice as that second shot in 16X20

I love them all. Will you tell us where the subjects are?

I'm sorry, I should have done that at the start.
The first 3 were taken at Flaming Gorge, Utah. Ironically, of all the shots I took, these 3 and some others were all taken at the same state park area. The fourth was taken on my back 40 acres, after a very big rainstorm. It's the only time the creeks run enough to get this kind of shot. The spot is probably less than 200 yards from my house, but it seems like it's almost another whole world on days like the one when I took that shot. Oh, and I live in the Ozarks, outside Licking, Missouri. That's a little southwest of Anutt. Not too far from Houston. That's the county seat of Texas county. So Houston, Texas is really in Missouri.

Thanks for the compliments on the photos, folks. Of course, it's always appreciated to know my eye is "there" as far as composition, and so on.
But my question remains: Do you think these are the kind of photo someone would want to decorate with? In other words, do you think they would buy prints from me? Personally, I think these are worthy of hanging in any doctor's office waiting area. I say that because our dentist has some of his own work on display in his office, and I think my work equals his, at the very least. But what would people choose to decorate their homes with? I have a lot of others to choose from, if you can give me ideas about subject matter.

Famous buildings/monuments? Maybe local architecture or perhaps a photo of the street where a particular business is located that you might want to try and sell a photo to? Animal pictures are always fun!

If I was doing a nature themed room I would use your photos. They are all very nice.
What Priscila said, land marks and animals. If you could photo shop a dragon or two in them..........
