He's back in Ashes to Ashes

The UK guy is Phillip Glenister and he is brilliant! What's good about Ashes to Ashes is that its more about Gene and Ray and Chris and the main character makes more of an effort to join in

I enjoyed The Pretender and Alien Nation when they were on (we have them on DVD as well)....

As a kid I used to watch "Hogan's Heros". HIlarious. "I see Natink, natink at all!" hehehe

Alien Nation rocked. I nearly did back flips when Sci-Fi Channel was showing it for a while.

LC and Animal Planet have fun things at times. They seem to change the line frequently enough to keep it interesting.

Crochet, if you REALLY want a good version of ROBIN HOOD, look for the dvds of ROBIN OF SHERWOOD. As much as I like Sam Troughton (grandsom of Patrick of Dr WHO fame, I believe), BBC's ROBIN HOOD stinks imo. I watched the first two episodes, hoping it would get better. Marion with throwing daggers as hair sticks? FUnky colored fishermen's sweaters on the merries? Gisburn (although the actor is cute and talented) walking around looking like a Goth? And now they have a BLACK Tuck? Gove me a break.

BBC's Robinhood is good, it's their historical inaccuracies that bug me. To simulate the 11th centuray one with modren clothing and speech is more distracting that if they'd done it in today's time frame, clothing and speech.

Knightrider and Airwolf. Favs I'd watched during the 80s. Anyone see the newer Knight Rider Movie with the ford Mustange as The Knight Industries Two Thousand? At first I was planning on NOT liking it, but the 'stang had the attitude. Micheal's kid wasin it Hasselholf showed up as the orginal Micheal Khnight owning up to his parentage. heheh.

what an interesting topic! I don't really get to watch to much tv but my bf and I just dvr what we want and watch it as we can.
Currently we don't have cable so the typical shows we catch now are:
House
Bones
NCIS
Leno
Wipeout
Law and order:SVU
family guy, simpsons...
Hopefully we may be getting cable in the next month or so which will open us back up to the discovery and history channels!!!! I can't wait. I never realized just how much I enjoyed those shows until I didn't have them anymore.

We are also avid stargate fans and have all the movies and a small portion of the series on dvd. I think once we get them all collected we wanted to start on the pretender.

I'm sure there's more but that's what comes to mind for now.

Cable can be fun but sometimes I wonder if they don't conspire when you're sick and have to be home, there's a 1,000 channels and nothing on. :-/ Grrrr.

They broadcast them on ITV3 in the UK and actually, there are times when I think Robin of Sherwood is more accurate- the acting tends to be better too. The new version has a few good people trying to hold the rest together.
Patrick Troughton played Robin Hood too. I was waiting to see if there'd be a jokey reference but there wasn't

We have Satilite programing instead and often watch BBC-America, where we dicovered the following of our favorites: We also have all of them on DVD's
Frost[all of them but the last that just came out]
Miss Marple[all of them]
Morse [have all of them...Morse,just happens to look a great deal like my Dad]
Poirotown all but the hour shows
Dalziel and Pascoe[sadly we don't get to see this one...and its not available here on DVD.
Midsommer Murders...[have all that are out ]

As you can see we are mystery buffs...and love collectiong the good one's. We also LOVE comedies..

I like most of the BBC shows too. PBS shows a lot of them in these parts. I've seen one episode of a new (to me) show that had Morse retired and his long-suffering Sergeant now in his position. Liked that one a lot and I hope the made (and PBS will show!) a whole series of them. I've also been watching Inspector Lyndley Mysteries and I'm trying to decide where to rank them.

hmmm. My favorites(read ALWAYS on DVR) are
CSI(original)
House
Bones
Pushing Daisies
Reaper
One Tree Hill
Criminal Minds
Numbers
And I Also Have The Cartoons:
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Ben10: Alien Force
Pretty much if it isn't on my DVR, I do not have time to watch it. Plus, I HATE COMMERCIALS, so Quadruple time fast forward is my fave feature. These all get a bit backed up from time to time, especially if I am doing more than just the new episodes, and I love to scan for documentaries and stuff to set for recording every week, sometimes there isn't really anything on though. I never watch the news, I go online for that because our stations here are very biased and you can really see it if you set 2 channels at the same time and listen to how they word the same story different ways. It is really irritating because i tend to want facts instead of opinions. The only exception is BBC world news, I like them.

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis
Firefly
Farscape
Red Dwarf
Star Trek - Any and all of the series'
MacGyver
Babylon 5
Black Books (I love Bill Bailey!)
Gormenghast - Not strictly a TV series, but it was a BBC miniseries
Battlestar Galactica
Doctor Who
Andromeda
League of Gentlemen
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Scrubs
Sliders
Quantum Leap

I never seem to have time to watch TV when there's anything interesting on, so I stick to DVDs. Except for Deep Space Nine, Generations and Voyager, and a few of the earlier Doctor Who series', I have all of the above on DVD. I've probably forgotten some too...
Yes, I am aware that I have a problem!

I also love Kommissar Rex, which I catch on the odd occasion I'm actually watching TV.

*The usual family favourites are, in my household at least:

Dr Who/Torchwood, The Goodies (DVD),

**Hubby watches:

House, My Name is Earl, Bewitched, I dream of Jeannie, Hogan's Heroes, 2 & 1/2 men,

**we both watch:

Any of the Star Trek (barring the original series - sorry but William Shatner then didn't do much for me until they did the movies) series,
Lost
Survivor
The Amazing Race
Heroes

My favourite is "So you think you can dance?"

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

When I was a kid, it used to be from 5.30pm The Goodies, 6.00 Dr Who, 6.30 Neighbours (because my sister loved it and kicked up a stink if she didn't get to watch it - my brothers and I were happy as our shows were on first ) and 7.00 ABC news (my parents kicked us all off the tv because it was one of the few shows they got to watch on a regular basis - they loved watching the ABC - on a similiar vein to the BBC for those wanting to know. ABC = Australian Broadcasting Corporation before anyone makes any jokes about it.)

I used to watch "Babylon 5" (best sci-fi series ever), X-Files before it started to suck...now I watch mostly BBCAmerica nonfiction, Discovery, TLC...As far as network TV goes, besides 'reality' shows, I may catch NCIS...in syndication...on cable. But I do like NCIS.
