Default Something I noticed in DQ...

I'm rereading DQ again and noticed something I hadn't before - several mentions, throughout the book, of Ramoth "fretting over her latest clutch like a novice" and being "afraid she can't leave her eggs without someone spying on them." And then after Lessa finds out about the peep hole she says Ramoth had been thinking someone was there... It just was fun to realize that Anne had really set up that situation from the beginning of the book, with numerous small mentions of Ramoth's behavior.

There wasn't really a place to put this, so here's one!

I recall noticing that before, but not necessarily on my first read of the book! Anne did indeed do a nice job of forewarning there.

Hah, I didn't put the two together either! Nice catch, Brenda.

I didn't pick up on it either until now, but thinking back it comes together perfectly. Well spotted!

And I'm always startled when the book ends so abruptly after F'nor and Canth's flight. Maybe because in DSi there are still a few days left in the story at that point.

F'lar didn't think it was a big deal, because he did it when he was a youth. I think he told Lessa that Weyr-bred boys had been braving it for generations.

Sometimes hindsight is better than foresight. That's one of the things that make re-reading a good book fun
