Is natural something else than nature?

Alright... the first one I present is natural (Sedum) roofing. OK, you have to create the basics but it then becomes a natural roof
![]() ![]() And, one of my favourites: natural sculpting by mother nature. This "mother and child" is to be found in one of the valleys of Turkish Cappadocia (Develi or Camel Valley). Isn't it beautiful? ![]()

At first I wanted to post a photo similar to my avatar, that really shows off my "natural" blond hair. Then it occurred to me that I didn't take the photo.
So I picked the following, obviously Hans and I had similar thoughts. Here's a photo of Indian kissing rocks. Now I just hope Pam doesn't call me to tell me she took the photo ![]() 105-0553_IMG by blondmom989, on Flickr The clarity is missing in this picture, I had to take it through the screen on my front door, so I wouldn't startle the subject. ![]() IMG_1441 by blondmom989, on Flickr Last edited by blondmom989; Mar 7 2011 at 10:53 AM. |

Nah, I think you took that one as I would have been driving. Though I believe it's Navajo Twin Rocks

Here's another bit of sculpting by mother nature. It's a Corkscrew Hazel tree in our back garden. I took this photo earlier this year as an experiment while trying out my new macro lens (which I never managed to take to the Kirkenhof in the end).
![]() Oh, and I have to add this picture - also taken as an experiment to see what the macro lens could do. The Kirkenhof it isn't. Our back garden it is. ![]()

Yes Pam is right Navajo Twin Rocks in Utah. My mind isn't getting any younger. Good thing I have Pam to remind me.
Hans I love your roof. It never occurred to me before (as I look around my yard for a place to put up a small building with a live roof) Steven your corkscrew hazel is delightful. |

What you looking at?
![]() I did a holiday thread and honestly thought we'd lost a stack of photos until I found some in a different folder. I'm still peevish that I lost the ones of the Waterfall Gardens, I so wanted to show them off. (I really wanted to show Hans and StevenB them too as they had taken some nice ones of the Tulip Festival so a little bit disappointed but on the bright side, this photo reminds me of Gary Coleman with the "What you looking at?" on Different Strokes).

Nice photos all. I like Blondmom's best but I have a weak spot for nature's erosion works
![]() Steven, the photos and subjects are good (tell me/us more about the dedicated lens you bought, please) but I don't like the bokeh (background) in both.
