Okay here's one that I've never seen here on MoM, although I could be wrong.....

The next few are probably ones that I've shown off but also found in the past year:

One of the next lot is from Larry and includes another signed copy as well:

Now for the mystery of book 2, where were these photos taken as I've forgotten to ask the seller so figured someone on MoM might know:

I'll fix the photos up tomorrow but I'm due to go to work in a minute and I'm running out of time.

We may not have talked about Faces of Fantasy on here before, but I know several of us are aware of it (Hans, Becky, Maelin, etc).

A copy was once sold from Anne's collection, which I bought and passed on to Maelin. Anne had signed it, with the note "I hate this picture". As I don't think it's a particularly flattering picture of her, I fully sympathize!

Well done on the collecting front!

Well the book Anne's signing is Powers That Be; so the earliest it could be is 1993. Judging by her photos I'd say its a bit later than that. Doesn't Anne look full of the joys of life in photo 2?

Does anybody recognize the brand name, "Jones", on the bottle?

Jones is a small drink company that sells in the US (at least, maybe elsewhere).

So that signing is probably W. Coast US? especially as Jones Soda Co is based in Seattle no less!

I see what you mean about the photos from the signing look better then the one in the book up top. She looks more healthy in the book-signing photos for sure. Debating about whether to get Faces of Science-fiction or not yet, anyone know about that book?

I'll send the seller, an email and see where it is but I really need to go to bed as I've just finished work and I'm stuffed.

I received a message saying that the seller met both authors at Barnes & Noble, Encino CA twice and Anne at World Sci-fi Con, Anahiem CA so that solves that little mystery

I have Faces of Fantasy. never thought of it as a collector's item, I purchased it for the different 'faces' in it.

And I love the stories in "Carmen Miranda's Ghost..."

Loved all the stories in Carmen too, I read it years ago (probably borrowed it from the library and never owned a copy of it until now so I can read until my hearts content)

Also I want to thank Priscilla for putting me onto looking for "Once Upon a Time". It just arrived today so thanks Cilla for providing another anthology for me to read. I'm looking forward to it.

I love Anne's story in Once Upon a Time!! Quest of a Sensible Man, if I recall correctly. I think that part of it is the color illustration, but the story itself is really good.

Nice Collection! I found pictures of the encino signing on AMC web page under photos link. They are very similar to the ones you posted. They even show the Jones bottle. Thanks for sharing!
