Just a Hello!
Hello all! I haven't been here for awhile but haven't forgotten everyone......I've all but gotten out of the book trade as it seems you can barely give away even nice copys these days. I have been slowly selling out my general stock of good hardback sci-fi and fantasy books in lots of 6 - 9 books at very low prices just to clear them out. This does not include my personal collection which I intend to keep. I have several that I would be hard pressed to replace. Things are jsut not selling unless they are very cheap. Books that once sold easily for $50.00 or more you can be lucky to sell for half as much now! I just another "Dragon Wagon" pin along with a paperback copy of Dolphins of Pern for $5.50! I already have one but couldn't pass up getting one so cheap.....especially as I can remember selling one a couple of years ago for about $50.00 on auction. It's a great time for buyers though.....if you are trying to add to your collection the prices are at an all time low. I have noticed some of the rare books are not coming up on auction so much, I guess most people would rather hang onto these instead of letting them go cheaply and I can't blame them. Someday if the economy improves the prices might go back up. Anyway, enough of all that. I hope everyone is well and I have wondered often lately how Anne is doing.....time shows no mercy to anyone. Hope to check back soon!

Yeah, I've noticed prices going don. How about an Easton Press Dragonflight for $25
![]() And is doing well but still having health and especially energy problems. The last Pern book seems to be on an almost definite hold ![]() She was planning to travel to the US once this year but even that I heard she had to cancel. Like you said, time shows no mercy adn Anne is definitely feeling that she's in her eighties. But the last few years we've lost many who were younger than she is now, so in that respect she's doing great. It is sad you're going out of business so to speak. You were one of the best AMC sellers. I hope you are doing alright in all other respects. Welcome back! ![]()

I was always quite happy to purchase off you if there was something I was interested in. A shame that you've decided to "back off" for awhile selling books. Hope it picks up.

P.S. what in the world is a *Dragon Wagon Pin*??? It sounds very interesting indeed ![]() ![]() ![]()
