Default News from the Pern Museum & Archives

I now have not only a top 10 in a Google for "Pern"... I got a top 6!

I know, justice some of you will say and I thank you for it. Still, myself I find it pretty amazing

Top search ranking for Pern Museum & Archives
The other day I was typing in the word Pern in Google's search box (for old times sake) LOL and Lo and Behold! The Pern Museum & Archives has made it to place number 6 in the search list! In fact three of the links mentioned as the first five have nothing to do with Anne's world of Pern! Isn't that amazing?
Being the modest guy I am I said to myself... finally I am approaching the place I should be in ...

I did not count the sponsored
Michelin Map link to the French town of Pern

Other Pern Museum & Archives news:

I finally finished with incorporating Jennifer Quail's (better known as Anareth probably) herbarium of both Pernese and imported herbs and medicinal plants mentioned in the Pern books into the Pern Encyclopedia. Jennifer graciously gave permission to include this important information
See the page for A (where you'll find Aconite) as an example - the others are not uploaded yet. Yes, many of the entries will be illustrated, and not only the herbarium

I have also added other things to the Encyclopedia

The Pern Poetry Page is off on a flying start. Not only will all songs and Pernese compositions be mentioned (in the end), but they will all be annotated with all known info printed right beside the song. Go have a look. I am planning on having soundbits like my friend Francois Labarbarie has on his French site.

The Dragonhold Experience, a report of my days at Anne's wonderful house in Ireland, was in a bad state because it was originally hosted with permission on the annemccaffrey.org domain. Things went wrong with moving it to pern.nl but I am pleased to announce it's all working even better than before now

I hope to have more (good) news soon!

Wonderful news, Hans! But you should be No. 1, not 6!

Hey, if I ever get the Weavercraft site I've been thinking about doing up and running, would you include a link in the Archives?

So, Google has only just realized what most of us have known for years, which is that if they want to know anything about Pern, check with you first? I knew there was a reason I wasn't impressed with Google. Too slow.
