Please give me some ideas for books to read I'm waiting and it's not easy, for some books to come out and some to come into paperback need more space in my parnets house. Like it states on my bio I read anything I can get my hands on. Comic, newpapers, magazines, the back of products.
You can tell that are so big readers in my house there are books everywhere even in the bathroom!!!! I'm goning with nothing to read. I'm reading one book now and it's putting me to sleep I can only read a few pages at a time. And I like the author too.

Ummm. Terry Pratchett? Anything by him. The witches, the wizards, the Watch. How about Jody Lynn Nye? Lemme think. There's gotta be plenty of others. Robert Asprin. He and Jody collaborated on several books that are very funny! Did that help?

If I get stuck, I usually go back to the "Billabong" series by Mary Grant Bruce or "Chalet School" series by Elinor Brent Dyer or any of Anne McCaffrey's short stories as they're quick, simple and easy to read in one day. However my head is stuck in Raymond Fiest and Robin Hobb books at the moment. Robin Hobb also writes as Megan Lindholm (or is it the other way around), either way, they're good books to read too.

Yeah, the movie is very loosely based on the book.
The book is way better than the movie . The only things they really have in common are David, that he can teleport, his parents & Millie.

Since you read everything, give Elizabeth Peters a try! She writes mysteries and her Amelia Peabody books (set in Egypt just before the discovery of Tut's tomb) are wonderful!! Very humorous! She also writes horror stories as Barbara Michaels. I'm not really into that genre but have read a couple and they're good too.
I too recommend Elizabeth Kerner and Robert Asprin. (Love the Myth books!)
Oh, another writer is Louise Marley. She's got some really great books too that are usually centered around music.

I'm ever the one to jump into the middle of a series of books (except when my first one by David Eddings was the first of that series; but only because my Granddad sent it to me . . . but I like Dragon Lance when I was with my cousin for a few months . . . of course I am never without something to read, being a Star Trek fiend, I rather like Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince and Exiles series . . .

What do you mean I am infatuated with dragons?

The Rowan is my favourite!

"The name rowan is believed to derive from the Norse runa - "a charm". It was often planted outside houses to ward off witches. On May Day a spray of rowan leaves was hung over doors to repel evil, and wells dressed with rowan to keep witches away. The rowan, or mountain ash, is found commonly in Scotland, sometimes clinging to a rock face."

The Roads of Heaven by Melissa Scott I enjoyed for the Fantasy/Sci-fi world. same for Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality. Larry Niven has a unique set of ideas on his worlds, Ringworld and Ringworld Engineers I read, but didn't like as well as The Integral Trees and the Smoke Ring.

Re: help I need a book to read

LOL another bookworm! Let's see... on my "to collect" list right now (aside from Anne McCaffrey) are Elizabeth Moon (Serrano/Suiza, Vatta) and Diane Duane's "Young Wizards" series. Mercedes Lackey. Diane Wynne Jones' "Chrestomanci" books. Tamora Pierce's "Song of the Lioness", "Protector of the Small", "Circle" and "Circle Opens" quartets. Susan Cooper's "The Dark is Rising" sequence. Anything by Barbara Michaels/Elizabeth Peters. For mysteries, Rita Mae Brown (who says her cat Sneaky Pie really writes her "Mrs. Murphy" books), Lilian Jackson Braun, Carole Nelson Douglas, Carolyn G. Hart. I also love Katherine Neville's "Magic Circle", "The Eight", and "A Calculated Risk". I keep a lookout for Emilie Loring's old romances (circa WWII) and the Trixie Belden mysteries. And the only men in my collection: Robert A. Heinlein, John D. MacDonald and Dick Francis. Yes, I read everything too.
