I remember when Mom got an extra phone put in their bedroom. Same line, so you could listen in on their phone call, of we sould NEVER do that. At least when we would get caught.

We have house and cell phone. We use the house phone most of the time. Cell phone when we go out.

I defently remembing a few times when haveing a cell phone would have been good. Mostly when a car would break down. Once when we were going to Kentucky for father's funeral, (his family was there.) There were several car loads going. I had Robin and Kibby. I got very car sick going over the first mountain, as did Kibby. I took Dramine and wish I could call one of the other cars. I had forgotten Dramine puts me to sleep.

Lily...in our first home, a two story house we had the only phone downstairs...when it rang it seemed I was always unstairs in my studio or outside working in my garden, having to drop whatever and run for it !!!

It was a good thing that we got an answering machine soon after they came on the market or I would surely have broken my neck in my mad dashes to get to it' while the blasted thing was still ringing.

How many of those mad dashes, were just some crummie telemarketer, wanting us to buy something...or asking us to answer a rediculous SURVEY... Lord how I hate those guys. Now they are all over the internet, which is fine with me...all I have to do now is click the *No Thanks* bar and go about my business.

When you can find the button or link... some of them make the x to close the survey box hard to see.

But you know that you're spending too much time on that infernal contraption, aka the computer, when you're getting ready for work and find yourself checking the bottom right corner of the bathroom mirror for the time.

You know you're getting mature when you keep trying to find the window winder in the car (or, even worse, the starting handle!).

LOL P'ter!!

I remember my brother (an airline pilot, CEO of an airline, and Senator for Cape Cod Mass in the state house) had to hotwire his wife's car so that it started like an air plane!! The key kept braking off in the starter so he made it so that you just turned to the ACC position and then pushed a button like in a plane!! It was neat!!

Peter...I still find myself on occasion, reaching for the *Roll-Ups*...not too sure I still don't prefer them...
especially when the electric door system goes out in them...like it did in our Lincoln a few years ago...
