Question Where are the monthly book discussion threads?

At the main page I can see that the last thread written in in the monthly book disscusion sub forum was call Pegasus in space2, but when I click on the sub forum I only see two sticky threads.

Nef, this is a forum that is set to only show Threads from a certain time period (I'll ask Cheryl to remove that).

To view all Threads, scroll down to the page and set "From the" to > beginning (under Display Options).

I'd forgotten about book discussions...
sorry.
If anyone wants to have a go, I'll happily hand over the reins. I haven't got the time to prepare questions at the moment really.

There was some discussion amongst us at Eurocon as to whether the apparent lack of interest was a sign that we'd done them all and should give it a rest for a bit.

Perhaps we should set up a poll?

With me, its not so much lack of interest as lack of time, energy and morale. I've had a rather more than a little bit stressed out year- mostly uni related and all my fun projects have got rather sidelined.
I don't mind a poll. I just wish I had time to spend doing fun things like searching out questions again.

Thanks for the tip, Hans.

I wasn't looking for the threads to join in on the discussions, but I like to read through the discussions once in a while.

It's by design to only see threads from the last month in that forum, so that the older inactive threads are not visible during the current discussion. As Hans said, if you do want to see them you just need to change the setting at the bottom of the page.

Just wanted to say I had been wondering the same thing seeing only one discussion.

I am relieved that I can now read through a lot of book discussions

Are there any other "rules" which I need to know about or threads not showing up in places where there are really lots of them ????

The Rowan is my favourite!

"The name rowan is believed to derive from the Norse runa - "a charm". It was often planted outside houses to ward off witches. On May Day a spray of rowan leaves was hung over doors to repel evil, and wells dressed with rowan to keep witches away. The rowan, or mountain ash, is found commonly in Scotland, sometimes clinging to a rock face."

Nope, there's only the one trick to get older threads to show. Most forums are set to show threads from all time, but a few have a shorter time interval where it seems to make sense. Like the Monthly Book Discussion forum, where we didn't want old threads in the way of the current discussion.
