You've got to hand it to this man. He handled some of the incidents and problems somewhat badly but overall he seemed cope ok.
When Hrrula appeared in the Villiage clearing out of thin air Ken didn't even seem to blink, he concentrated in the message not on how the speaker came to be standing in front of him or how he vanished afterward. Can't have been easy keeping presense of mind in that kind of situation.
