Default Robin, Did You Know?

Robin, Did You Know?

Robin, could you ever know
How very far your legend would grow?
While walking 'neath Sherwood's green
Was it something you'd fordeen?

When for food, you took the king's deer
To feast in the forest, with Marion near
Did it ever cross your mind
Your story would last all this time?

Much and John and Tuck and Will-
Even today are talked of still
When mighty Sherwood's nearly gone
All your ghosts still walk at dawn.

Honest yoeman or noble born
The many faces you have worn
Of Loxley or of Huntingdon
Battles lost and battles won.

Robin, did you guess back then
What you'd mean to commen men
And women, with your fight for good?
We still remember brave Robin Hood!

Very good, it reminded me of the days when I used to love watching Robinhood, on T.V. I don't know remember much about it though, except as a girl, I liked it alot. Thanks for the lovely memory walk AnnMarie.
