Default The Serial

How about this for a joint effort: a story thread were each person takes it in turn to write the next sentence.

It can be wacky, serious, fantasy, what you will: but your contribution must follow on logically from its predecessor.

To start it off .....

CHAPTER ONE

Lessa woke, hot.

There was a strange noise in Lessa's head coming from her link with Ramoth; a noise Lessa has learned over the years to identify as Ramoth laughing. That only made her feel more sick in the stomach.

Lucky for her, F'lar had left with Mnementh on some errand, so she didn't need to worry about him. Mnementh hadn't seem at all concerned about the fact that his human friend was acting odd this morning.

From the Weyr and from the Bowl
Bronze and Brown and Blue and Green,
Rise the dragonmen of Pern,
Aloft, on wing, seen, then unseen.
Dragonman avoid excess
Greed will bring the Weyr distress;
To the ancient Laws adhere,
Prospers thus the Dragon-weyr.
