My son came across this and bought it the other day. I knew some here would be interested in it, so I prevailed on him to take some pictures for me to post.

It only has earth dragons, not Pern dragons, but it is a very cool book for anyone who loves dragons.

I've got that one too, mainly as a curiosity. There was a follow up to it, but I can't remember what it is called. It spawned a raft of other similar books, one on Egyptology and one on Pirates and again I can't remember the latest, all done in the same format. sorry! But they have been very popular here in Australia.

I have either this one...or one very similar to it. The artwork is lovely and it shows quite a few very different dragons from many differnt cultures. I even bought one of the stuffed dragons they made up from the drawing.

Suddenly remembered that when I was in London in February 2007 I bought what might be one of the spinoffs: The Dragon Chronicles. It has beautiful artwork too but is more like a fantasy novel than a dagon handbook.

The cove is beautiful, Hans.

Next time I get the Dragonolgy game out I'll take pics. The pieces are very nice. The people and dragons are 3 D and painted realalictically.

I've seen that book on shelves of several local book stores around here. It's definitely one I want to pick up one day, when I have some extra cash.

I think I want it mostly for the beautiful cover design!! And of course because I love dragons.

Ok, I know I'm wayyy to late for this one, but just wanted to say how great it is (and like Hans said, for all ages). There's a Serbian translation as well (I should know - I'm looking at it right now). I got it from my parents after my first year in High School as a reward for doing good in a new school (it was expensive, and I was wanting it for months). There are also the translations of other books - Egyptology, Wizardology, Pirateology... I think that was it.
