Jube, so did you get BOTH of the Mayfair board games? The first one they put out the playing board is like a large 4 piece jigsaw puzzle you put together and then later they put out another with the board as a foldup one piece.

Hopefully she got at least one of them...there have been a few of them on ebay lately...and the prices haven't been to bad on at least two that I saw.

some of you guys try too hard. You can get the old commador game at theunderdogs.com and the emulator to run it on a win95+ system. I've never heard of the mayfair stuff so I'll look into it later.
There's also all kinds of atari emmulators out there and sites with literally thousands of games. |

makenzie, I think you might be talking about a different game than we are...there are board games out there that are also being looked for to add to some of the collections of Anne McCaffrey.

Makenzie, this has nothing to do with trying too hard.
This is the collectors forum and some of us want the atari/commodore game in the original version and package (I know I did) and not to play. You can read that Maelin, for instance, bought a CD with 15,000 games. That's meant for people wanting to play the game (with an emulator yes) who want fun and don't want to spend much time downloading illegal/virus prone stuff from the illegal rubbish programs you mentioned. Personally I was thrilled by these kind of games when they were new but would only buy them as a colleactable now! ![]() The Mayfair games are (indeed) boardgames, issued in two versions with wonderful artwork by artist Robin Wood, and highly collectible. I think there's a thread around by Nefermiw who bought and actually played it. So if you are interested, search for that.

gotcha...never really paid attention to the "colletor's forum" thing. I always use the new posts search and it's not always really evident.

Ah, that explains it
![]() No problem, Makenzie, all posts and answers serve a purpose (at least, that's my experience).

Lady Maelin, I completely agree with you. Reading has always topped my to-do list! Plus, I don't know anyone offline that has read Anne's books, so I'd have to play the board game by myself!

I've found an online place where you can download C64 games- looks official.
There are several dragon games but I don't know which, if any, is the right one! http://www.c64.com/games/no-frame.ph...om=0&range=113 Edited to say: I found it! I might try to download it tonight. |

The download is tiny!
![]() You got a C64 in the attic? How were you going to transfer the file you got to its RAM? ![]() Anyway, here's the answer provided on 64.com (what a nice site full of nostalgia; thanks Edi!) What do I need to play it? A game or a demo and an emulator. For the PC, there's two really good ones. VICE is the one I use and recommend, but there's also CCS that's really good. For the Macintosh, Power 64 is the only choice.
