Cheryl's trip to Whidbey Island

It'll be a while still before I'm caught up enough to post photos from my trip in a regular online gallery (I'm a couple months behind on my galleries...), but I did get a photo album put together that'll let you see small versions of many of the best photos, and it nicely tells the story of our trip.

I love putting these photo books together, and definitely highly recommend Picaboo (I keep trying to find a cheaper alternative, but no other program lives up to their features -- and it's not that they're not a good value for the cost, it's just that I could spend hundreds a month on photo albums if I had the money and time for it!)

So, here it is. Individual pages can be clicked on for a larger view.

What a fantastic album with great photos, Cheryl. There's just one complaint (the one I always get, too): you're in none of them!

Wow, that is way cool!!! A great way to show off your pictures and tell the story at the same time. I just love it.

What a lovely vacation for all of your family. The kids look like their having a ball. This Picaboo album, is one of your better ones...as it does do a great job of tell your vacation story in photos. Sooooooo did you have a wonderful time too?

Hans...she's actually in four photos that I found...the two with Fiona are wonderful to see. You do the same thing when you get your hands on a camera...your hardly ever in any of your photos either...wink!!

Good spotting, Maelin! Indeed I'm in a grand total of four photos in the album (and perhaps two others that didn't make the cut into the album, more of me in the car while everyone else toured the snagboat).

It was fun making this album, and I'm itching for the time to make other single-purpose albums rather than the yearly recaps I've been catching up on.

Oh, and indeed I had a wonderful time. A bit of sightseeing mixed in with relaxing in a beautiful location made for a nice vacation.

Cheryl, you were practically in my backyard. I love Whidbey Island, especially in the summer. My husband laughs because everytime we hop the ferry to go to Kingston I have to stop off at the ice cream shoppe for a possible chance meeting of Elizabeth or Anne... Tawdry I know, but I am always broke when it comes time for a convention.

What a great trip! I'm so very sorry that your visit to Deception Pass was on a gray and foggy day. When the sun is out the waters are a beautiful emerald green. It's beautiful no matter what the day is like, really. And you had some super weather at the house...lots of sunshine for everyone to enjoy.
I'm glad you all had a good time. Thank you for sharing!

My wife wants to explore the picaboo site after seeing your album, Cheryl. Unfortunately, her computer picked up something that won't allow her to get Adobe flash or even the Adobe home page now. I'm looking into the problem.

I heartily recommend Picaboo, Draco. I keep looking at less expensive photobook makers, but their software is never capable enough for what I want to create. They do have pretty good sales on a regular basis, so I will stick with ordering when they have one.

Lovely photos, nice album -- and so close to here! But I guess I was in Ireland at the time anyway. Glad you had a good trip.
