Green My two little souvenirs from my Thanksgiving Holiday

For Thanksgiving I traveled to Dallas, Texas to visit my inlaws. We only went to one used books bookstore (Half Price Books, of course!) since we were so busy. Here are the little gems I bought to add to my collection of AMC paperbacks!

Dragonquest-Ballantine Books, second printing Aug. 1973 for $2

AND

Restoree-Corgi Books, 1970 for 25 cents! When I went to check out, there wasn't a price on Restoree so the person was like, "oh well....how about 25 cents" I coolly said "ok", but I was thinking awesome!!! I hardly ever find books for 25 cents anymore!!!! It looks like someone tried to staple it though you can see the holes on the cover in the middle above her eye! oh well, it will most likey be a reading copy anyways!

The books are in acceptable condition for my paperback collecting needs and the prices weren't bad! The hunt was fun and they were small and light enough for my suitcase! I had a very nice time and got home just in time! I got a very bad stomach bug that could have been very hellish on a airplane! Now I am recovering and getting caught up on email and such! I know these books aren't new to you lot, but I like show and tell time! I hope everyone is well!

Dragonbuddy, those are two excellent examples of early Anne McCaffrey paperbacks! And 25 cents for the British Restoree (I always wonder and vcan't help thinking how it ended up in Texas ) is indeed a very cool price

Well done

If was packed up and posted out to USA, somebody might have tried to staple the package shut.

Well done finding vintage editions! I've never seen that Restoree edition before, likely because it's a British version.

Always loved shopping at Half Price Books! There are half a million of them in the Seattle area....well, not quite that many, but a lot! I'd hit just about everyone of them at least once a month. They usually carry a very good selection of Anne's books too. Great finds!!!! Thanks for sharing!

CONGRATS! on such good finds. I wish we had more 1/2 price book store around here. We only have 2 and one of those has their used stuff upstairs, which is hard for me to get to.
I hate stairs.

Dallas is lucky; they have 15 Half Price Books! I'm sure that they have other used books bookstores, but they always stamp the books and I hate that so I don't go to them. Pittsburgh, PA only has 2 HPB, but I guess I'm luck to even have that many that are local!
