*kicks FrontPage* It saved the location of some of the pics with a harddrive location instead of the relative weblink. And of course it looks fine to me as the pics are on my computer so it can grab them when I load the page . Idiot FrontPage hasn't done that to me in a while! Should be all fixed now, let me know if any are not!

Cheryl, I'm getting so many run-time errors that I can't even scroll the page - but I suspect that's a work-computer issue...

Hmm, that would be a conflict with the rollover javascript menu bar. Let me know if you have problems at home at well, and if anyone else has trouble. I may need to find a different script, or can my pretty rollover menu.

Cheryl, What a lovely group of prizes, it should attract a decent group of Quester's.

Apo, Don't be jealous... just read a few more of Anne's books a bit more often, then you too could soak up all of the lovely trivial information...LOL

It seems so simple, doesn't it! I'm reading 4 or 5 books at the moment, and no space for an AMC... how sad is that!

You know, even if you haven't read the books in forever, you can always give it a try. If you have no idea of the answers, in the case of the multiple choices, you have a 1 in 4 chance of guessing right

I once had a maths teacher who was at Uni when ABBA was really popular. It turned out that people passed (50%) an exam with the answers ABBA ABBA...

No: multiple choice is too hard for them: they have to choose from a possible one right answer.

Eep! Eep! Eep! Good thing I checked out Cheryl's thread in the lounge about the newest announcement on Anne's site or I would have missed McCaffrey Quest! I didn't enter last year because I hadn't read Dragonholder (that's mainly what last year's was about, right? ) But I might actually stand a chance this time around!

Wrong Spiff, while I am not denying that having read Dragonholder would have helped answering some of the questions last year you should have entered anyway as there were many more questions that could have been answered by using the internet/googling and many that could have been answered by general knowledge, checking a bibliography (there's an excellent one online at www.locusmag.com) and such...

Same goed for this Quest. If somebody has not read all Pern books, or hasn't read the Crystal Singer series I'd advise them to enter anyway! And not only because the vast majority of questions are multiple choice

Using the net or googling might help peeps this year, too. There ARE many Pern related resource websites and yes, there's a good Crystal Singer one, too!

These types of things are just plain FUN to do, whether you win a prize or not. You just never know what interesting information you'll run across.

Hmm, I'm thinking that I'll just have to take the quiz myself, just for fun. I've not peeked at the other host questions yet, so other than the books I've done questions for I'll be on par with the rest of the group. Yep, could be a fun thing to do since my hubby is going to be in Reno with his best friend. (Ugh, and they wanted us wives to go with them! Those two and Breeders Cup Weekend are never a good combination to be around. The Quest will be much more fun, for me anyway!)

Has an exact list of the titles involved been put up somewhere? I'm moving that week, and want to make sure I don't pack any of the titles I'll need!

I'm looking forward to playing for a couple of the items mentioned above...the board game and People of Pern, in particular!

And on the topic, I would say last year that a good 70% of the answers I found were on the internet somewhere.

The only ones I don't have are the Continuum short stories...but I'll live!

That is my only forseeable problem at this point anyways, I also don't have the Continum Series yet. I don't know any of the differences in the stories from the books( that I just finished a few weeks ago) to the stories in the Continum series. ARRRGGHH!!!
I knew I should have bought that series a while ago...but another signed book caught my eye instead.. ..going off berating my greedy self, and making a note to go and buy the Continum Series soon...
