OK

It may be that prices here have kinda equalised with world prices, but that may change since the Govt. here has just bumped GST here up to 15%

Not sure eann, but it will definitely mean a rise in shop prices with this 2.5% rise in taxes.

Just sticky-beaking on US ebay and found one going for $956.98. It's on my watch list but not sure how to get it up here. Their rating is not what I call the best if they can't get the description right

I meant, Catalyst was going for that much? We called it Barque Cats for two years so I'm still not used to the new titles, even though the publisher used the ones we suggested.

Good Lord! 60 $NZ = approx £28UK. Price of HB Catalyst here is around £13; less than half.

I posted three books to Jube (UK - Oz) for around £12. One book would be around £7.

Perhaps I should get into export?

They're welcome to try I suppose but when it's still in print in hardback and thus far only 2 editions have been printed, the second printing rather small, rotsa ruck.
I'm supposed to be getting the proofs for Catacombs sometime in the next couple of days. I am hoping this means they will put it out before Dec./Jan. because once galleys are done all that remains is the cover art. It would be nice to keep momentum going and maybe we could do a third one.

I thought I'd better post the dream I had last night. There were four books in this series and they were amazingly popular, so popular that a special boxset had been released yet somehow I still hadn't been able to find a copy of Catalyst (I'm trying- but I may have to buy it online in the end-which has it's own problems) and I was considering whether to buy the books individually as paperbacks or buy this special boxset. The dream diverged after that but the books were very shiny

Oh, I watched the demolition of the Kingdome--I think they actually do that sort of thing every once in awhile around here--well, not the kingdome of course, that's gone, but big structures in the middle of other things they don't want to destroy. I could be wrong.

Your and Anne book is not going to be for the Talking Book and Braille Library, National Library for the Blind and Physical Handicapped part of Libary of Congress, for they don't have the funds to it. on

Here is the thing, I know they have started with permission of the publisher, to do some of the commercial Brilliant a Amazon.com book on one I didn't listen to. But if some could say donated a unabridged copy, I'm even will to loan my copy of it so they can add the addition stuff they need, to add background traditional NLS www.loc.gov/nls

I hope you folks can understand me, I want folks to know there is more than just Anne Pern, just I told a fan of her off line about the Branships

So what book are we talking about, GinnyStar? Catalyst or one of the Twins books? I do have some other audio book copies if donating would help but I gather it's more complicated than that? If I can help, let me know. My mother was blind from macro degeneration the last ten years of her life and the audio books she got from the resource for the blind was one of the few pleasures she had left.

Hi, Ginny, this was a coincidence. I just heard from another lady who is legally blind who wanted copies of a couple of my books that she has laboriously scanned into computer, read by a voice program, corrected and taped to listen to. Is that what you think the NLS needs?

I don't know, but I just got back from a conference with a local group that work with our branch of Talking Book NLS and I have to get some more information. See what I can dig up when I not also have a low thyroid levels, and new dosage isn't helping right now, needs to get into my system.

We have an older member that has age related macro degeneration, who asked for some aid, from Andy Plath a volunteer who works with the Blind Outreach and I, at my church.

I shall see what I can dig up, money is the problem, but I might know someone who can help local maybe higher up too. Keep you posted!

Cool! Hope she enjoys it. I just finished with the galleys of Catacombs (the galleys of the catacombs sounds like a book about slaves in the Egyptian underworld or something--or a cookoff there maybe)

I know I enjoy it twice!

Or how about the dormant volcano's lava tubes? Just saw something on Discovery that was cool, more to Pern then the books, but one image gave an idea, not quite what I had in mind. at my self.
